For those that wish to trade Hemsky, I'm afraid that train may have left the station a couple seasons ago. I would have moved him then, but hindsight is always a wonderful thing. I think there might have been a small window of opportunity before he hurt himself last year, but for whatever reason, they never moved him. Playing hurt is one thing. Playing without heart is another,
Heh, okay a MEDIOCRE hockey team destined for another 9th or 10th place finish. They made zero significant changes in the off season and continue to operate on a delusion ala the Oilers post-lockout. Who are they going to leapfrog, especially with Minnesota making strides?
Look...I know where you are coming from but if that team gets on a role they can make the playoffs. They have an incredible captain a very gritty, fast team with a solid goalie in Kipper.
They play a very tough system as well when they are on.
I want to see them fail at making the playoffs too but its not a given they will fail.

Calgary must feel how I felt on the last day of school. You know you still have to go to school, but you also know that most of the day will be spent talking with friends and eating candy, and it's ok if you don't show up or leave early.
Also, to Stauffer who blames a) back to backs and b) missing Hall...well guess what, genius? Every damn team in the league plays back to back, and Hall is out so this team has to find other ways. Give me a break, quit excusing the team's crap play.
Stauffer works for CHED, it's his job to make senseless excuses for the Oilers. He made much more sense when he worked for TEAM 1260, now he's just turning into a CHED mongoloid (Stafford, Tencer etc)
Calgary is a garbage hockey team. The Oilers should have won the first two games against them this season. Inexcusable to blow games like that.
Put the blue kool-aid down son. The Flamers have totally outplayed, outhit, and outshot and outscored the Oilers this year in each and every game. It hurts me to admit it, but try to look at things realistically and put the fanboy glasses aside for a moment.
Atleast the Flames "think" they're still competitive. They'll push for the playoffs, miss it, and end up with a crappy draft pick. And that's if they haven't traded it on deadline day.
Whats our record against the flames? How many losses are when the Oilers played the night before. how many times have the oilers played calgary when Calgary was on the 2nd game of a back to back.
