JB had a good game. first goal blame JJ on poor D allowing a cross ice pass for the tip in.
second goal he almost got it, even though he was screened. he saw it at the last second and almost got it.
26 saves on 28 shots, .929 save %. very good, calm and composed. would like to see him get another 2 or 3 consecutive starts to see what he can do when he's given the reins. also gives JQ to rest physically and mentally. the guy has been getting to much time the past month as the team has struggled imo. Murray is going to ride him into the ground again at the rate he was playing him
Yep.
Quick isn't the problem, but you are right, he's going to run Quick into the ground. So I do agree that Murray has no plan for goaltending and it seems that same thought process has carried over into the secondary scoring situation. No plan for that either.
Things need to change quick, or Dean's seat is going to be getting warm.
first move is to send Clifford down. he has been just dreadful and shows no sign of improvement. seems totally lost and never in position in areas where he can be effective. i know much of this has to do with losing Zus and Simmer, but the kid has to adapt and move forward. he isn't doing it and just wasting space at this point.
Send the whole roster down. Just keep Quick and the injured Richards. Pretty sure those 2 can win the games alone.
This is why it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see one of Williams/Stoll traded.
And honestly...I could live without Greene right now.
Problem is, you are devoid of scoring right now,
You don't trade Williams who, while awful tonight, has proven he can score in the system the Kings are playing,
Of course, you don't stand pat either,
I don't know of anyone in the AHL right now that could/would replace Williams if you dealt him, and what would you get back?
I would love to see a trade made, to shake up the team, and if they want a real shakeup, you trade Scuderi not Greene. You will get more back for him, you can't trade Mitchell, and you bring up Muzzin to replace Scuderi, assuming you are comfortable with Martinez and Voynov playing major minutes, I think most are.

Dean's seat should already be very hot. He brought in the coach, put together the roster, ran up the payroll and the team is horrible. The reason we don't have scoring help in the AHL is because Dean Lombardi made it that way. It's easy to say more but I don't see the point, Murray's a goner and if this keeps up DL will be too.

I disagree. Dean's done an awesome job, it's the players that have been awful and should be on the hot seat. Kopitar, Doughty, Gagne, Penner, Johnson, Williams, etc etc, have all sucked terribly over the past month.

Perhaps.
That is unless the players have given up on TM already.

He has only done an awesome job locking up some of the players who need to be locked up and making sure this team has a good defensive group.
He brought in those players. Gave them the money. Isn't moving them. So the responsibility for their poor play ultimately lies with him. If he has a problem with it he can do something about it.
I don't hate DL but right now I'm really not happy with this team and there are only two people to blame for the way it's constructed. If the players have given up on Murray the responsibility lies with him to recognize that and take corrective measures. If he can't do that and this team isn't viable as a contender for the conference then at this point I'm not happy with the job he's done. It's like taking a kick in the nuts to have gone through rebuilding and for this to happen all season seemingly unchecked.
Lets talk emotion here.....I am tired of bs calls going against the Kings. Benn's goal was intentionally kicked in. He kicked his heel forward directing the puck into the net. And it was clear cut plain as day. Toronto says its good. I can always count on that since the Lombardi era.
More emotion......Bernier is technically a good goaltender. Above average by far. However, he plays with no emotion. Its his down fall. Robots don't win championships, Tim Thomas's do. Trade him. And that second goal was soft. Pathetic. No side to side intensity.
But my mos
Anyone else worried when Mitchell dropped the gloves? He needs to stop doing that.
At least Manchester is 8-1-0-1 in their last ten. All without Voynov and Loktionov.
Well someone has to play like they give a **** ya know?
I would say it's Cliffords job to run at Ott...not Mitchy...but Clifford was too busy on the bench reminiscing on the 3 fights he has got in this year.
As I was saying...But my most favorite is lack of emotion from the whole team (sans Richardson tonite and Richards on the year). Its hohum beach bum hockey. Even Kopitar. Sick of it. There is no accountability from management and amongst the staff. In my line of work, bye bye Brownie and bye bye Murray. Problem fixed. No more playing favorites.

An awesome job??? He hasnt won jack here or anywhere he has ever been. Dean Lombardi hockey sucks and is boring as hell to watch.
