People keep harping on these injuries, how many of these guys have contributed like they should have this year?

Hecht - Atleast we had a different 1st line Center tonight
Gerbe - Hasnt been te same since down the stretch last season.
Gaustad - Not going to give us offense we lack.
Weber - Played in what... 2 games?
Kaleta - Just doesn't play his game anymore. Getting to be a waste of a roster spot.
Boyes - Started clicking with the PP a bit before injury but was useless before that.
Myers (stings if he's on top of his game but McNabb is playing just fine)
Tropp - Solid player but not the reason we win/lose games.

Injuries add up but theres no reason for us to be this bad. The rookies are not the issue.
This is revisionist history. Vanek & Pommers started struggling at the beginning of Adam's suckage phase. Except for the one period against MTL, they then struggled with Roy. Then they were put with Hecht, so you can't act like he is the lone differing factor here, especially since he was our best skater in several games before he was injured.

Still isn't #1 center worthy. I was just talking about our injured guys last night. People keep blaming injuries and to and to be honest if we have everyone back it really isn't going to make a huge difference. The only offensive contributors that are out are Myers (if he doesn't play like ass like he was all year before his injury), Hecht who played well for a few games but hasnt been a highly productive offensive player since Briere left, and well That's about it. Everyone else are 3rd/4th line guys that haven't done Dick doo offensively all season. None of them have been consistent, especially on the offensive end.

That's my point. People act like were missing Vanek, Pominville, Ehrhoff, and Roy. Well we're not.

Oh...so florida gets an excuse for playing a back to back, but buffalo doesnt while playing a back to back with half their roster out and a back up goalie who had a really bad game. Makes sense.

WTF are you talking about? My argument was how bad we played vs Florida who was on a back to back. My point was how Florida played better in their 2nd game back to back than we did, plus they were travelling while we were sitting on our *****.

People are tossing around how we aren't playing well because half our roster is out and blah blah blah. Most of the guys out aren't relevant to us scoring ****ing goals or giving up shorthanded goals, most of those guys aren't contributing to our goals per game average.

So get over the "half the roster is out crap."

Most of this board wants a good number of those guys gone anyways and the guys up from Rochester are filling their roles just fine. The problem is our top 6 are still awful and a good portion of the opening day roster is STILL playing uninspired hockey. The number of times we play vs a teams backup goalie is sickening given the ending results. We very easily could have lost to Scott Clemmenson on Friday night. Yes Scott Clemmenson who has played in a whopping 4 games this season. There is no reason for us to not be putting up 35-40 shots when we're playing at home especially vs backup goaltenders.

A) CALM DOWN
B) well see how they're playing in february. Until then, go ahead and have your emotional swings. People forget we were praising the same players for stepping up last year and carrying the team to the playoffs.
