A good place to read a collection of AHL News & Notes

Does anyone have a good site to read AHL News & notes (collectively) without having to go to each club's newspaper/blog? And I don't mean the Official AHL site's weekly release. That is more of a wrap-up of streaks, records, etc.

I used to go to the Springfield newspaper http://www.masslive.com every Sunday for a gentleman's article (I don't recall his name) but that stopped about 2-3 seasons ago. He had tidbits for the hardcores and info only the beat writers would have.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

The Peoria Journal Star sometimes has good news and notes from around the league. I don't check them out very often, but they have lead to some decent discussion on these boards in the past. You have to look for them at the bottom of the game recaps in the River Readings section.

Use Google Reader and add the news feeds from all the different writers. Other than that there isn't a site that collects news from people who write about teams.

I had thought about it but it takes a lot of work and there's little interest in the AHL as a whole to make it worthwhile.

a few years ago there used to be a great site that was run by a computer programer who was at mit and created a site that was just about the AHL--links to all teams pages, fan pages, both printed and radio--when he graduated he pulled the plug on the site. He ran the site as a way to test new systems and other gizmo's on--he works for google now
