Stat padder. All there is to cheer for is Stamkos to hit 40 goals this season.

Stammer padding the stats. I'm okay with that. He's the only thing we have to root for this season.

Hey, a PP of Marty, Vinny, Nail, Stammer, and MAB would be awesome!

Nail Yakupov, the consensus #1 pick in the entry draft.

This feels a whole lot like 2009-10 again. Stamkos scores a bunch of goals while Vinny is stuck with 3rd/4th liners and underperformers again (Pyatt = Halpern, Downie = Tanguay). MAB = Foster, defense and goaltending suck again and everybody on the team looks uninspired and scared.

This sums it up well:

"Despite fighting to the end, The Tampa Bay Lightning can't seem to buy a win -- home or away -- and the run of turnovers, empty power-play opportunities, easy goals allowed and just plain bad luck is getting on the team's nerves."

I know I've eluded to this before, but what pisses me off the most about this whole Roloson situation is that the rest of the league called it before he was signed but we still signed his old ass, and Smitty is playing well again now.

****..

I don't know, it's easy to be clever with facts on hand but how many wanted to keep Smitty? He got his chances for sure, at times a player needs a new enviroment (or a better defense..)

Rolie played really well for us, I mean in the playoffs he kept us in, was it then wrong to add another year?

Ill be the first to admit I was wrong about roli. I wanted a better goalie, but I thought he would play well for at least this season. Smith on the other hand, I thought he would play well elsewhere

We should have signed Vokoun instead of Roloson

The Caps also turned out to be a team in turmoil, and the Panthers are doing well ATM.

Statistically, the idea that Vokoun suddenly sucks is unfounded.

2010-11 Vokoun (FLA): 2.55 GAA, .922 svg%
2011-12 Vokoun (WAS): 2.70 GAA, .910 svg%

Roloson now is at 3.67 GAA, .882 svg%

Either the Caps have floundered this season due to a variety of factors and drama not involving Vokoun, or Vokoun is cursed.
