Lidstrom was a third round pick.

Doug Weight, Joe Nieuwendyk, and Claude Lemieux are pretty good picks.

edit: Chris Chelios may end up as the best 2nd round pick.

Also, Mark Howe, Bryan Trottier, Rod Langway, and Bobby Clarke.

I'd say it's about a 3-way tie between Trottier, Robinson, and Chelios.

Edit: Oh wait, I see brianscot mentioned Larry Robinson above.
