If call-ups are based on merit, and playing well in Providence leads to getting a chance in Boston, then Arniel is pretty low on the list of potential replacements right now.

They aren't, based on Jordan Caron still being around.

I think Hamill's been called up for this reason... unless Pie-yay is ready to go again, which I doubt. He's not been cleared for contact, as far as I heard.

Get well soon, Soup.
Did anybody hear something about how this happened?

Lucic Krejci Horton
Marchand Bergy Seguin
Poo Kelly Peverley
Caron Hamill Thornton

?

I'd roll four lines for the first period to see how the fourth line does, then pump the brakes on them a little in the last 40 minutes depending on the score.

I'd like to see MacDermid up, he had a pretty good pre-season, keeps us tough, similar to Campbell, just a far better fighter.

If this is the extent of the "injury bug" this season, I'll be ecstatic.

A few years ago, this would have been Bergeron or Lucic out with a fractured foot.

Caron's around because he's the 13th best forward in the organization (Hamill gets another chance to prove that wrong now). Caron also has 2 fewer points in Providence than Arniel in 25 fewer games

Looks good, except they've been grooming Hamill as a wing all season. I know center is his natural position, but it will be interesting to see if Claude puts him there seeing as he hasn't played center all year.

If merit is based on points then maybe yes he isn't deserving, but then you eliminate most of the team (he can score, - 5 for 6 in shootouts!). Even Hamill who was called up has been very quiet for quite awhile. Arniel in the games I saw was playing as well as anyone but not getting many points. Lately he was on lines with Macdonald and McDermid - not big point producers. He does a lot of PK which would be a Campbell role. So if he's needed for a 4th line energy guy with speed and PK, who works hard, then he is deserving.

I'm guessing they won't demote one of Peverley or Kelly because of injury to cover the 4th line.

I think in the first period you need to roll four lines to see how they do. If they can sustain a formidable forecheck and succeed in keeping the puck in the offensive zone then I dont see why they wouldnt get a semi regular shift.

I also wouldnt be surprised to see them roll three centers and have caron and Thorts as the two wingers, with Hamill there just in case.

Get well Soupy!!! The injury bug was bound to hit at somepoint. The B's have been alot luckier than some teams so far. I guess the B's depth will finally be tested a little.

That all sounds good. Has he been playing center this season in Providence? I thought he had been mostly a winger too.

I think they will move either kelly or pevs to the 4th line centering duties to begin the game. if they start to only roll out 3 lines then it's very easy to have them go back to the 3rd line. If you play all 4 lines, I don't think you want so much inexperience
