Agreed. That would make sense. DeBoer kept him to 10 minutes last night because of his defensive troubles. Foster should be able to handle more than that, even in his first game as a Devil.

Gudbranson being out is definitely a good thing for the Devils.

Janssen in Devils' lineup tonight. Foster is in lineup too. Palmieri, Urbom to sit.
Foster to be paired with Salvador. Tallinder-Fayne, Taormina-Larsson.

Play a full 60, and let's not have our board members go over to their board tonight.

DeBoer reunites the scrimmage pairing of Tao and Larsson.
I expect Tallinder and Fayne to get a substantial amount of minutes tonight.

The D pairings look pretty good, if Foster pans out the Devils will be ok defensively and they can focus on maybe getting some more offense at the deadline

I'll give Foster a few games before analyzing his play.

Crazy to see the youth on our defense. For some reason Tao seemed bigger than I recalled when watching the game last night.

Taormina and Larsson together. Remember how good they looked together at rookie camp?

Indeed. Hopefully they can play the same way. But I`m really worried about those two. Speed might be an issue.

I think he means that Foster's paired with Salvador, and I'm not too thrilled about that either. Let's see.

Salvador is the best partner for Foster, because he's experienced and defensively responsible, and Foster is known to be somewhat of a liability. None of the rookies could be expected to handle that.

Well, that much is true. This defense is so mediocre (sometimes) it doesn`t really matter who do you pair with whom. Le sigh.

I would pair him with Tallinder, Fayne with Salvador and Tao+Larsson, but ok.

Sorry, I meant to quote the post he was quoting. Salvador and Foster together doesn't exactly fill me with optimism and hope for the future either, but hopefully it means they'll be getting really limited minutes.

Nah, then you've got two pairings you can't trust instead of just one.
And who knows, Tao and Larsson could end up being a disaster defensively, so you really need one.
