Score is tied at 2 after 1 period...

Dawes scored his 9th of the season, Helminen added his 10th goal...

Nilsson scored both Sound Tigers goals...

Dawes had the 3rd goal. Taffe's assist was changed and given to Helminen.

On the internet broadcast, during the intermission between the second and third periods, Don Maloney singled out Dawes, Genoway, and Immonen as being young prospects playing a great game.

Dawes continues to impress me on the statsheet. Can't wait to take a trip out to Hartford to see him live.

I was at the game, very excited as it was my first opportunity to see some of the future rangers play. Jarkko played in every roll, PP, PK, etc. He's great on the draw too. Dawes has great hands and can shoot! On his first goal he just snapped it past the goalie short side, great shot. On Grenier's gaol, Jarkko made a great play controling the puck down low then skating up into the front of the net from the corner boards. He showed great strenght and puck control as he skated into traffic and took the shot. The goal was originally credited to him as unassisted but was later given to Grenier as he must have tipped in a rebound. I really like Jarkko and wish the Rangers would move someone like Rucchin to make room for him on the big club. The only possible knocks I could say about him are that although he's a good skater he doesn't have fantastic speed. He also seems to have really thick thighs, great lower body strength, and stays strong on the puck, though at 6-0 he's not really big. If he had 2 inches and the speed of Moore he'd have no flaws.
