Per Hoppe and Harrington's twitter, Weber returns to the lineup tonight. Per both, it looks like McNabb is out of the lineup, but no official word on that or whether he's been reassigned.

Gaustad likely to return, as well. Kaleta still out.

Yeah, just saw that. Sounds like Grags may be out. Our GDT might actually be readable tonight.

Bigger question: If Grags is out, who does everyone blame if (when?) the PP doesn't score?

The coaching staff ... Of course!

Game #30. Get 2 points in regulation. First game of the year I will miss (wife's work x-mas party). But, I'll be checking my handy CBC hockey app every few minutes

3-1 Sabres

Vanek, Roy, or Leino with a goal

Hire Arniel! when/ if our PP fail the usually scapegoats Roy and Staff will get the blame.

You think Grags being out is going to change the fact Roy and Stafford and everyone else just stand around on the PP?

OMG THIS MEANS I'M GOING TO BLAME ROY AND STAFFORD!!! YOU WIN!!

There is no doubt they could do more (Primarily moving feet and descisions.), however they don't deserve all the blame that will come their way.

Per Hamilton and Harrington, McNabb in but Lindy playing coy and saying that he wasn't forced into a decision yet. I wonder if he's hinting at dressing Grags as the 7th D/12th F and sitting Ellis. Then using Grags on the PP.

Vanek-Szczechura-Pominville
Ennis-Roy-Stafford
Adam-Leino-Kassian
Gragnani-Gaustad-McCormick

Regehr-Sekera
Weber-Ehrhoff
McNabb-Leopold
Gragnani

?

Well apparently I should make a gdt today so you can start talking about the next Flyers game.

Weber and/or Grags will be heading out of town if McNabb keeps playing like he has.

Watching McNabb and Kassian in the preseason, I remember thinking, man these guys got a long ways to go, but they've come up and exceeded my expectations by far!

With Goose returning it will be interesting to see what Ruff does at center. Does he keep Adam/Leino/Kassian together and throw Goose between Vanek/Pommer? Or does Leino head to the top line and Goose goes between Adam/Kassian? Or something else like Adam back with Vanek/Pommer? Or does someone get scratched and Chewy stays there?

EDIT: oops, I had forgotten about Stewart. So the likely solution will be Goose centering the 4th line and the other 3 lines staying the same. Darn. I was hoping for some fun line juggling guesses

I'd really hate to see Goose between VanPoms, especially in his first game back. Unfortunate that Hecht isn't an option, so I think the best way to go is put Adam (or even, imo, try Leino) there unless Chewy is in the line-up (which wouldn't be a bad way to go).

I think they should just keep Szczechura with Vanek and Pommer. He looked pretty good against the Rangers and this would allow Lindy to keep Adam-Leino-Kassian together. Put Gaustad with McCormick and Stuart.

Miller of course. Or Roy. Dump-a-holics anonymous.

I forgot about Stewart being up. So I agree that Chewy will stay on the top line and Goose will center the 4th line.

I think for Christmas this year I'm going to wish for maybe just one injury per week. It's becoming rather difficult to figure out who is playing and on what line.

That said, the Sens are not the Rags. We need to put them away.

WOW, was just thinking on my way home when Weber returns I really hope its Grags who gets the boot and not McNabb but I thought the chances were slim to none. Still waiting for confirmation, but im pumped

It has been a while since I anticipated a Sabres game with any confidence--the crappier the team the crappier we play especially at home. Getting our "regulars" back does not excite me either. The callups worked hard and were not the reason for the problems on the ice. Watching the Sabres has been a downer this year-especially after watching the 2 games in Europe......We need that idiot Imlach back (I know he is deceased)to get the players to do sprints for an hour if they have unforced giveaways....
