I hope he recovers quickly. Does anyone know if he had any concussions before the one Pinhead Perry gave him?

Anyone blaming Simmonds for this is ridiculous.

I was really hoping for some hardware to come home this year. Art Ross and Hart chances are slimming...

Rough.

It'd be nice to have him back for the Winter Classic, but Giroux's health is obviously the top priority. No reason to rush him back.

very unfortunate, but here to full recovery. Hopefully this team can hold onto a solid playoff position so there is no need to rush him back.

Homer trades Richards and has a mysterious bike accident that leaves him with multiple injuries. Nobody knows how it happened

Pronger is given the captaincy and ends up almost losing an eye, has knee surgery, a mystery illness and finally a concussion.

Schenn comes over from LA, breaks a foot and gets a concussion.

Simmonds, who came over from LA, in an innocent play knees Giroux who is having a banner year and concusses him.

Richards himself is out with a mystery ailment assumed to be a concussion caused by a mediocre hit.

Tell me Jody Shelly isn't behind all of this!

Blues fan coming in peace,

I hope Giroux will be O.K., after watching David Perron miss 14 months after Thorton's cheapshot, I know what it's like to wish and hope you favorite players come back quickly and safely. Unfortunatly there is no telling how these things work or how long it will take for him to come back from it.

I wish him well and hope he can return with no lasting ill effects. He's one of the most exciting players in the NHL and I hope for his sake that all will be O.K.

Leafs fan here.

I hate this news. I really do. Giroux has become one of my favourite players and I'm hoping Kadri becomes a similar type of player. He's also the main reason I'm in first place in my fantasy league right now, and its gonna hurt to lose him. But of course, real life trumps fantasy and I hope he's back and healthy sooner than later.

A nice way to put everything in perspective. I tend to think it was John Stevens' fault.

Again, Rangers fan here with nothing but respect for the Flyers. Hope to see him back by the Winter Classic. Look at it this way: Ryan Miller only missed about two weeks. Claude could be skating by next week for all we know. I hope he's okay, and best of luck this season!

Holmgren could be providing additional info in about 25-to-30 minutes.

It's probably nothing formal. More so a briefing with the media prior to the game. But the injuries will be part of the questioning.

Ah, that. Well, I hope something good comes out of it. Like Giroux was just joking with everyone and he's fine. That could happen, right??

Well we have been through this before with 25 and 88. The main thing is for Claude to get healthy no matter how long it takes. You know the kid wants to get out there and play. Just another dam disappointing set back. Crap like this is going to make me start drinking again.Hopefully JVR and Danny will help pick up the slack. I am looking forward to seeing how Sean does on the big line. Oh well what are you going to do.

From John Boruk:
Quote:
Bill Clement said that Claude Giroux skated today. A very good sign
Bill Clement said that Giroux skated today which is always a positive per John Boruk twitter

From PhillySportsDaily:

Quote:
Paul Holmgren said that Claude Giroux skated today for about 15 minutes and that's when he said he felt sluggish.
From John Boruk (CSN Philly):

Quote:
Homer quote: "Giroux skated a little bit today, didn't feel that good. He just didn't feel like himself." that's not a good sign.
