Woywitka had played alright too but tonight he lost us this game with that stupid play that led to a goal. Wish we could have gotten it into OT at least and secured a point. Ah well..
The star (s) of the game was the entire dallas team. They pulled an 1985 Villanova -- picture perfect defense from start to finish. In reality, out of all the shots the Rangers had, not one was a really good scoring chance from around the net or in the slot.
Lots of slappers from the point and wristers from bad angles.
All along, i said that having three waiver-wire d-men on the team was going to cost them at some point.
Woywitka played 11 mins the whole game up to that point. Why was he on the ice in the last 5 mins?
Note to Richards, on the PP when you have the puck you are VEry predictable, you have to move more and not stand there everytime. I realize he is trying to control the tempo and freeze the players but he is doing this way to often and soemtimes has to change it up move it quick look for a shot, skate around he just gets it and stands still and often makes a **** pass.
Another note when you have the puck in the corner Richards, get your head up control the puck instead of throwing it away to nothing. Ive held my tongue with this guy but i dont care about points he has big holes in his game that need improvements. But who am i to tell him the big superstar. Hes compete is way to low.
Other than that good effort by guys like Hagelin, Del Zotto, Eminger, Stralman and of course Henrik.
the bad Richards, Cally was off, Dubi did little and Christ playing over Avery.
Guys dont place the blame on Woywitka. We knew he was mediocre and filling a hole because Staal and Sauer are out. Our offense was the issue tonight any way you slice it. A rookie unknown goalie came into MSG on a SLUMPING Dallas team and shut out one of the best teams in the East. Thats a problem.
Some of you need to use your brains. The plan was to have Stepan & Richards out on the last shift. That means one of Boyle/EC HAS to take the shift prior, unless you want Step/Richards double-shifted, taking away fresh legs at the end of the game.
HFBoards, where logic goes to die.

Excuse me if you don't mind me asking, but who said we'd follow up a 6-1 win over Florida with a shutout loss on Tuesday (today) to Dallas? Oh that's right, I was right. No surprise there Rangers.
What's pathetic is how predicatable some things are with this team...
What was Stralman and Dubinsky doing on the PP? And was it just me, or was Boyle also on the PP?

Whatever. I'm up to here with Dubinsky and Boyle. Boyle I expected it from but Dubinsky needs to ****ing do something already.
Wow does Boyle get a free ride i told everyone he didnt have the hockey sense to put up numbers consistenly it was pretty clear. But imo he has not played terrible and is atleast moving his ass, just dont expect point production from him and if there is someone better whihc there will be we can move him for a pick.

Agreed. Those kind of give aways do happen.
Our issue tonight was that we just didn't have goalscoring opportunities and certain players *cough* Boyle shank numerous opportunities.
I literally have no words to express my anger right now.
Un ****ing believable. Scrub defenseman scoring after one of the stupidest and worthless plays I have EVER seen. Game tied 0-0, let me just turn the puck over by making the softest pass I possibly could. And, of course, getting shut out by a scrub goaltender on home ice.
****ing joke.
Am I the only one that thought there could have been an interference call on that goal? The guy who had the puck that just dished it away barreled right over Dubinsky and took him out of the play.
Anyway, my three stars are Stralman, Del Zotto, and Lundqvist. Hank played a great game as usual and Stralman and Del Zotto both played strong games. DZ's really improved on the defensive side of the puck and Stralman moved the puck tonight extremely well.
It's games like tonight why I wish they would REDUCE games against the Western Conference, not increase them.
Anybody who thought this kid wasn't coming in to MSG tonight and getting a shutout needs their head checked.
That was same old Rangers tonight.
I was thinking that too as the game ended...a random backup comes in, shuts them down, as the Rangers make him look like Hasek. Offense looked anemic, even though Dallas played some pretty good D, the Rangers looked lost in the offensive zone tonight.
Also have to echo everything said about Christensen and Boyle...those two contribute virtually nothing offensively at this point. Still not sure why Christensen is in ahead of Avery; Avery doesn't contribute much, but he's inarguably better than Christensen.
And tonight embodies the downside of having two of your top 4 D out with injuries. When half of your top six is Woywitka, Eminger, and Stralman, it's only a matter of time until a bad play like Woywitka's tonight happens.
Bottom line was Dallas played well but this game was definitely winnable.
What was Stralman and Dubinsky doing on the PP? And was it just me, or was Boyle also on the PP?
Stralman looks like and probably is the best puck handling D on the team, why shouldint he be on the PP. Dubi has all the tools to play 2nd unit PP but just isnt giving the complete effort or just has no confidence. Boyle ye i agree.
The PP was despicable yet again. Too much passing and trying to score the perfect goal. Bachman is an inexperienced goaltender and they should have been in his face.
