It's even more crap when it's the SO winner . I remember Cammy playing a crap game, scoring the winner in the SO and getting first star.
Also strong defensive games don't get noticed usually.
I agree with you about the defensive games not getting noticed. It's tough for defensive defenceman to attract a lot of attention from the fans.....unless it's delivering bone crunching hits.
I've always thought the NHL should have some type of award for the best defensive defenceman, hits, blocked shots, +/-.....Norris is all about offense.
next game, it's not a matter of diaz vs. emelin. diaz plays on the right side and emelin plays the left. if you want to know how 'good' emelin is on the right side, look at the NJD game.
it's more a matter of campoli and gill vs. emelin.
Weber got another point. 2 points in his last 4 games up front.. Maybe he wont be such a bad forward. He scored a nice goal in the playoffs at forward too. Another Streit?
I think New Jersey is only going to get better when Zajac comes back. I expect Florida to start dipping soon. I think expecting Versteeg to continue his 96 point pace is a little ridiculous. They have three players on pace for a PPG who have never been PPG players in their career, all three have very high shooting %s as well. The offense on that team dies after Weiss, Fleishmann and Versteeg.

I really think he will have a Streit-esque career projection, but maybe with a longer peak because of his age.
Meanwhile Islander fans are blaming Streit for all their troubles and want to strip the captaincy from him.

Another team to watch is Philly and how they'll handle being without their top forward in addition to their top defenseman. No Giroux or Pronger is a tough blow. They did beat an even more troubled Caps team tonight, but I can see Philly start losing a few from here on in. Stay tuned. We play them next.

JM is an enigma. When #habs lose he comes in cheerful positively spinning rot. Tonight, he looks and sounds like someone just shot his dog.
lol did you read the GDT? It was full of **** against Subban and Diaz.
Diaz? The guy did nothing wrong. Hf is just out to get him because Emelin was benched and they think it's Emelin vs Diaz. I said it at the beginning of the year, people will hate on Diaz for the sole reason that they like Emelin more.

Streit's biggest problem is that he should be a #3-4 guy and they use him as a #1. The fact that Harmonic Staios and Jurcina are in their top 4 is a huge red flag.

They still lost a two-goal lead in the third and were lucky to win it in regulation against another bottom-feeder like the Isles.
He should be angry against his 6 million $ man, Cammy instead of bashing his rookies.

Probably because they struggled defensively in the 3rd.
Probably because they struggled defensively in the 3rd.
Probably because we once again sat back on a lead and were punished for it.
JM can no longer say it was against the game plan because he even said before the game that we have to stop being so "exciting" in front of our home crowd.
