Thanks to my job I was able to listen to the police scanners for this incident; those guys really had their hands full. The description handed out of "guy wearing sweatpants and sweatshirt" meant that pretty much everybody on earth was getting reported as a suspect. The cops were pulling in everyone in sight matching that description. My favorite: "report of suspect matching description, male with limp and maroon VT hoody. Last seen entering Bed Bath and Beyond."

Now...I'm no CSI super-genius detective; but I'm pretty doubtful that a guy who just murdered a police officer very publicly in just about the worst place possible in the Commonwealth of Virginia would decide that replenishing his fancy soap supply would be of paramount importance.
Wait, he ended up killing himself? Then why were they reporting that he was still at large? If he killed himself, wouldnt the gun have been right there?

Guess it's safe to assume the #45th OBT will be named after the Superstar, huh?

I'd like some sort of a honorable mention to Arron Asham, though.

The gun was right there. They had to assume that it was possible he killed someone else and left the gun at the scene

Went to the liquor store after work today to get some rum and saw some Evan Williams eggnog and decided to buy it and give it a shot. Must say it's really good and i'm not really a fan of eggnog

That hilarious moment when you find out a girl who you broke up with less than a year ago is now engaged.

We've got another incident of a dog shooting his owner.

This time in Florida

I try not to wish harm on people, but when you leave a loaded (and I'd venture un-safetied) weapon around an animal things can happen and only have yourself to blame.

That's ridiculous.

Last night me and my roommate got ****ed up. Really ****ed up. We started drinking at 5pm, liquor too. Rum and cokes. Then went to the bar Mad River to meet up with some people. Ended up making out with some cute ass girl there. I've had good success at that place. I'm 2 for 5, operating at 40% efficiency. I think its the fact that Mad River is a Philly bar and shows Eagles games. Home field advantage?

Nooo not this time. I can admit when beer goggles take over but this time I did good. My friend is also a waitress there and she saw me with her and gave me the thumbs up.

So...smart people at MIT have created a camera that records at a rate of a trillion frames per second. It's faster than light. Here's a video of a laser pulse moving through a coke bottle:

Hmmm I'd be pretty embarrassed if that happened.

I give about 1 or 2 years before this is implemented in a James Cameron film. Unless he's saving it for Avatar 2.

Does anyone know a place anywhere from central PA to in New Jersey that buys military antiques? I found two very nice old formal Coast Guard uniforms and a British Military issue flare gun from WW2. Everywhere I can find on Google says they either don't buy from private sellers or are not interested in any of the items.

Not sure where to post this but my girlfriend and I made an agreement to visit every NHL arena and see one of our teams play (she's a Flyers fan).. And I wanted to save a season ticket and game program from each game we attend..

So we went to Devils @ Flyers on November 3rd and were kinda rushed getting in so I forgot the get the program.. I figured it was a lost cause and was pretty upset since this was our first stop and I had already messed up my plans, but I emailed the Flyers customer service and they just got back to me saying they found a program and will send it to me

Just want to say that it's very big of them to take the time to help me out.. Could have easily said "Eh, I don't have time for this" but they went out of their way to find the program and really help me out

If they buy stuff. I have no idea what this stuff is worth (if anything) but its old and possibly collectible. I have no use for it and I figure I could get more from some kind of antique/specialist store than craigslist or ebay.

The flare gun possibly qualifies as a firearm (I don't know for sure), so you might not be able to sell it to just anybody.
