He's a good player don't get me wrong, but just two weeks ago he was on pace for 40 goals, while Versteeg was on pace for 96 points and Weiss was on pace for 85. Three guys who have never been PPG all of a sudden magically come together and tear the league? I'm a little skeptic.

They remind me very much of the Thrashers last year where Ladd, Antropov and Byfuglien were PPG players well into the season.

when were healthy, it's too many damn defensemen. i expect diaz will be sent to hamilton at some point (2-way contract).

so you can have something like this, don't pay attention to the pairings but everybody plays on their natural side:
Emelin-Subban
Kaberle-Gorges
Gill-Campoli (if he's traded or injured, diaz takes his place)
Weber

Yeah, exactly. Streit is a smart defender but expecting him to lead on the defensive end is absurd, I can't believe fans are blaming him.

WTF are you talking about? He said we try to entertain our fans too much, and he is right. Keep it simple, we are not the Caps or Flyers, defense is our MO.

I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but the way I see it, the boys have picked up points in all of their last 5 games. I think they're gonna be okay, but we'll see how they finish off this month.

Great to see the powerplay looking dangerous, but it was another awful third period (or atleast the first ten minutes of the third period this time). I reserved my judgment on Kaberle, but I'll say he's doing great so far. I don't know why everyone was freaking out over Campoli over Emelin, seems like a no brainer to me.

Cammy is totally useless.
Great minds think alike.
Damn, Habs really suck to protect the lead.

Oh Cammalleri, what happens !?!??!
I remember in the summer when I saw the video clips where Cammelleri and Subban were training so hard, they were in top shape, so I thought they will have a fantastic year. Oh boy, I was so wrong.
Do you know whether Camma is hiding a minor injury or not ?

The team is still very fragile, as indicated by the 3rd period. Hopefully, the team can get some confidence back after two games where they managed to hang on. They certainly dont look comfortable playing with the lead in 3rd periods, and it must be driving the coaching staff insane.

Luckily, Al Montoya was awful, and the habs escaped with 2 points.

Now that the PP is starting to look competent, my main focus will be on the team learning how to play with the lead. The Subban and Diaz plays up the middle had me shaking my head the most. Thats just not smart.

Price has been absolutely amazing this year and no one knows because our team is so inconsistent in front of him.

For all the talk about how we blow leads (and it's a serious issue), that's a good record against some tough teams (more good than bad) all things considered. Say what you want about the Habs, they don't lose easily. They don't win easily either, but I guess it balances out.
