Depends on the guy. I have no problem if we put Glass out for a couple months. Of course, that would probably help the Jets rather than hurt them.

My God, people saying it was 100% Bouchard's fault and not Bogo's fault at all...

I thought it was clear Pierre-Marc was playing/protecting the puck and when he turned, Bogo saw the opportunity to hit him really hard. Also, it's not like he did turn to get hit like that...

Nope. Might as well start right away. They've got twenty or so guys, we've got 60 minutes.

If Bouchard got two games for "should have been in control of his stick" then there is no way Bogosian cross-checking him five feet from the boards is not worthy of being reviewed.

Like I said elsewhere, I think it deserves at least a phone hearing so 5- games or a $2500 fine.

I'm sure the fact Pierre-Marc got injured will increase Bogo's chances to get something..

I wouldn't be surprised if Bogo receive nothing either.

I think it deserves things which cannot be done under the current rules of the game. If the league wants to eliminate this sort of hit, vacate the win. Pure and simple, if you commit a suspendable play in the final 5 minutes of the game, make it a forfeit for the offending team. Maybe the outcome of the game doesn't match the play in it, but directly losing 2 points in the standings will pretty quickly get those plays out of the game. Worried about this only affecting teams with the lead? Take two points away from a team that does that and loses.

That's what would p*** me off. People want to say that it's unfortunate that Butch turned quickly. Fine. But it'd be hypocritical for Butch to get suspended for an unfortunate incident, while Bogs would get nothing for this. If they didn't take any considerations with Butch, then they shouldn't take any with Bogs. Butch will now have a repeat offender label, because of an unfortunate incident. The league has to call it fair. They drew their line in the sand, and now they've got to stick with it. If they want to lessen the suspension due to Butch being partially at fault. Fine. But you still have to give him a game or two along with the new repeat offender label.

Exactly. And we've had about three of these incidents go against us this year so really all I want to see is consistency.

And maybe Staubitz dropping the gloves with Bogosian.

Consistency here would be Shanahan refusing to even review the play.

Speaking of that, I thought it was automatic when a player gets 5 and a game, the play has to be reviewed by the league.

I'd like to see old Sawdust get himself tossed for taking a good run at Bogosian.

Damn I miss Boogy.

Remember, as far as the Dept. of Player Safety is concerned, the Wild don't exist末unless they play Columbus, in which case...

hoping for a suspension because PMB got a BS suspension isn't rational. it looked like bouchards legs and hips were turned toward the boards for longer than his body was--he ws just twisting around playing/protecting the puck. his back was still effectively turned toward the hit. 1 game ought to do it.
