My point is that sometimes you need to get pissed off... Have a fight every now and then to get things riled up! Show some energy damn it! Maybe then the scoring will follow...

I do agree though, go show some emotion. Clifford has been completely lost this season compared to last. The kid was a beast last year, nearly invisible this year.
When Kopitar got nailed into the boards a few games back, there should have been a bit of brawl over that, but nothing. Remember when Doughty nailed Oshie (I think) into the boards three weeks ago or so. The Blues all went after Drew. No fights or anything in the end, but some definate anger and emotion displayed. Our star goes into the boards and zilch is done.
The kings have been soft for few seasons now. They also sorely lack a energy/agitator, nobody ****ing mixes it up.
This. It might not even be fights per se, but man, this lineup is sooooft...add that to the scoring woes and things are just so flat.
All the big bodies are gone--Handzus, Modin, Poni; they may not have been the greatest players, but at least they'd grind and take up space. Simmonds traded. Clifford was neutered by Reaves last year and hasn't physically been the same since. Westgarth tries, bless him. Our captain has gone from bull-in-a-china-shop to whimpering animal. Kopitar shies away from the front of the net. Doughty wants to be physical, but he's playing like a stupid hack and not backing up his mouth. Stoll has picked up a nasty boarding habit, but seems to not ever hit otherwise, which is a shame because he's shown physical aptitude in the past. Mitchell, Greene, Richards, and Richardson are our most consistent physical performers.
Just argh. Just show you care, or call up Nolan/Clune or someone that will be happy to be here and prove it by scrapping for every last inch of ice.

I really thought DL would make us bigger and tougher, but that hasn't happened yet.
I do agree with the lack of heart or grit or whatever you may wanna label it as, but I would think it has more to do with players have alot more to prove in the AHL, or any other league not named the NHL (besides europe).
This lineup needs some controversy...I hate to say it but we need a player like Avery. There is absolutely no grit to this team. Fraser was supposed to be our closest thing, but he doesnt cut it. I am all for Jordan Nolan or Rich Clune in this lineup. Clifford does not do anything for this team. He was most effective last year when he was fighting on a consistent basis (until Reeves and Brookbank rocked him).
We need to role out a fourth line that other teams just dread to play either because they are in your face the entire time or chirping them with the ability to back it up. I would ice a fourth line of Clune - Nolan - Clifford/Westgarth and let them go to work.
I love the fourth line that Buffalo has with Kaleta (absolutely hate him) and McCormick and we need to ice something similar to put some fight in this team.
Agree with everyone 1000%! I've been chirping on this for years! Seriously need to send Cliffy down! He's done nothing! I would love to try Nolan for a few games! Why not we've given scrubs like King a few games, anything, anything for a spark right about now!
