I would love to see a PP with both Kaberle and Markov. People assume they would just keep passing and never shoot it. Make no mistake. Both can shoot and will shoot. Kaberle did tonight. With two great playmaking defensemen at the point the PP will one day return to it's dominance of the past 5 years.

You know what they say about men with short sticks... ;--)

But seriously. I love playing with a short stick, it makes it real easy to pull off moves/dekes.

Every year they get one out of their freaking pocket!

Yeah and love how we got him (Spacek)...no 2nd Rnd Pick, no 1st Rnd Pick, not even a 3rd or a 4th!! and we didn't ahve to give a prospect.

8-9 months ago...we could not afford Kaberle...his value was at 6mil/year (imo). Now we got him at a bargain price (Spacek). And...he's not UFA. We have Kaberle for another 2 seasons. This makes it much easier to wait for extremely-fragile-always-injured-Markov .

I was shocked when I read how many Hab fans had so much hatred for the Kaberle signing. I must admit I had mixed feelings for a few seconds and then...became very excited when thinking about our PP possibilities with Kaberle!! Kaberle was invisible in Boston (no doubt) but Montreal could be as good for Kaberle as Toronto was...maybe even better since Plekanec is here and we have a good group. I don't count Carolina...since even E.Staal is terrible this year!! Kaberle and Boston (3-4 months only)...it just wasn't meant to be. Montreal could just be a great place for Kaberle and we could be reaping the benefits!

Plekanec and Kaberle[/B] = good friendship/good reunion:
I also love that Plekanec is a hard worker and apparently is very good friends with Kaberle...extra motivation for Kaberle to do well here, imo.

Glad to see Kaberle getting points for a 4th consecutive games.

So far, it's the steal of the year.
Well Spacek isn't looking so bad for the Canes either.

The fact that we had Plekanec at the point and hadn't scored a Powerplay goal in 50 chances? Just speculating though. Did I miss a somewhere?

I'm not saying the Habs won their last two games exclusively because of Kaberle, but he's brought an added dimension to the PP and helped with the flow and momentum.

The last two games the habs won, were the type of games they were losing up until recently because they couldn't get that important PP goal

He's still an adventure in his own zone (although he always was, even in his dominant days with the Leafs) but with sheltered minutes at even strength, this trade could pay off big time.

I will give him credit for defensive play in the 1st period which led to AK46 goal though...great job by Kaberle there

Or at least PP momentum. If we can have a PP that tires and worries the ennemy, gives us confidence, I'll be quite happy.

Agreed...too many times this year the PP just sapped all of the Habs momentum.

But watching Kaberle run that PP, almost made me think of when Markov is back there. He's got so much poise with the puck, i'll live with his inadequacies in his own end, unlike in Toronto, he won't be playing 23+ mins a night on the top pairing.

I can only imagine how the Habs willl look from a puck movement standpoint when Markov returns. Last night, with Kaberle and Campoli...the puck movement was so fluid

Since adding Kaberle we have gone from 2.4 gpg to 3.5 gpg.

I agree that Kaberle's passing is top-notch. Even better, with him in and Campoli back, I figure some of the pressure PK feels will dissipate, and he will start to wheel and deal again.

That's fine, but he wasn't doing it for the Habs.

yeah
its just 2 games though ^^

If he ends with 50-60 pts and we need to have cap space to sign one player, Kaberle is tradeable.
