Youre mixing things up. Godard was punished. It was their coach who should have seen consequences and didn't.
Crazy week concussion wise.. Crosby, Claude Giroux, Milan Michalek and now Jeff Skinner today.. This stuff is an epidemic.

I agree. I was a big Sid fan since he came into the league, actually since his one season in juniors too. I remember when Gretzky called him the "Next One", and he wasn't wrong. What an amazing talent, speed, hands, shot. He has it all. He was truly the closest to being Gretzky-like than any player I remember since the Great One. Youngest captain to ever win the Cup, Youngest player ever to score 100 points, great Olympian and World Junior Champion. Only behind Greztky, Lemieux, Bossy and Orr, for points per game average. That says a lot, considering he played in today's defensive style of hockey, as opposed to the insanely high scoring days of the 1980's that Gretzky, Lemieux and Bossy played in.
If he is indeed done, it would be a huge loss, just like Lindros and his concussions.
I really hope Sidney comes back because he is the face of the NHL. I am also financially tied to the kid because I have almost all of his rookie cards that are worth some $$$.
My most prized possession is a 2005-06 Upper Deck ICE rookie card that is a BGS 10 - there are only 4 in existence. I figured I'd pass that baby down to my kids. I do have another that is a BGS 9.5 (35 in existence) and I'm thinking I have to unload that one soon. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes.

Dude sidney kidney is a good poster. He's fair and his assessments are usually pretty spot on. No need to go after him just because he us a penguin fan.
I think why he is tryin to say, is that the penguin fan with the mancrush on Crosby simply comes here to stir the pot. Kind of annoying when he has his own board to lurk on and be "confused"
STK did not 'stir the pot' with his post. I agree with others that his participation in 'our' thread is very welcome in my book. I am an Isles fan and I have a man crush on Crosby too - is that wrong? He is the best player on the planet and the concussions are robbing ALL hockey fans of his genius on the ice. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery because the game is better when he plays.

I don't think they're ravaging the league. I think the league is learning to better recognize them and therefore their numbers are climbing.
if thats the case then they need to expand the number of players you are allowed on your roster to 24 or 25. If they are finally being recognized that means they were misdiagnosed before. If thats the case you have to imagine that more players are going to get them, so you would need to expand the rosters to accomodate that...
I don't know where this is being discussed here, but figured this would be the spot. Just a comment about the Turris/Rundblad deal. I am kind of relieved we didn't pick up Turris, but have to wonder about Rundblad. Anyone here watch him much?
