What are Chris Cloud and JD Watt doing in the lineup? Where did they come from?
Chris Cloud is with the Monarchs? Nice. One of my good buddies is very good friends with him, he is one tough SOB. Watch this video, Cloud is in white. Cloud is listed at 5'11'', 186 and the guy he is fighting, Ross, is listed at 6'4'' 210. Ross had to leave the game...

Man I can't even imagine being a "fighter" in the minor leagues....deal with all the problems a NHL guy does (maybe worse) and also barely get paid for getting/giving beat downs.

This is kind of a misconception I've learned from my brother that is untrue. I used to think the same thing, but after talking to him over the last few years minor leaguers in hockey really don't have it to bad. Sure the lower leagues are always going to have guys that are just there to collect a check and don't care about anything else, but as far as pay goes it's actually pretty good. A decent career ECHL or CHL guy can often make close to or possibly more than an NHLer on a two way playing in the AHL. YOu also have to factor in that almost all of the ECHL, CHL, UHL teams will put the players in apartments and pay for them in addition to their contract pay and they all have some sort of health insurance through the team as well. It's really not as bad of a gig as it sounds like when you factor that in. For comparison I work at a company that is constantly near the top of Forbes "best companies to work for" every year and my brother who is a career ECHLer makes slightly more than me and has nearly as good of health coverage...
A few notable stats for Monarchs Country this morning! The Monarchs are undefeated in regulation in their last six games, 5-0-0-1! They are currently on a three-game win-streak. The team has won their last eight games at the Verizon Wireless Arena. The Monarchs last 14-of-15 games have been decided by only one goal and the team has a record of 12-2-0-1 in those games. The Monarchs are now in first place in the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-10-0-2 for 36 points.

Glad to see that the farm team is having better success than the Kings. Maybe the pro team could learn something from them, like how to work as a team and to put in better effort.

Just think somewhere in Bizarro World the Kings are 5-0 and in first place while the Monarchs are terrible, can't score and on a massive losing streak...
Morris truly deserves a ton of credit for getting the narchs to 1st place with that lineup. The roster is full of 3rd and 4th line players and yet, he's got them on top of the atlantic division.

Just an incredible job!
Indeed! The Monarchs have also gotten the job done by spreading scoring around the lineup. The two leading scorers on the team are both a hair above 0.5 PPG and with the injuries and new guys coming in they seem to have not miss a beat. Kind of makes think Morris might actually be a decent NHL head coach if given the chance. Which is something up until this year really I had never even considered.
Does anyone know if Mullen has been playing forward or D recently? Looked at stats and saw he has 14 points this year and was curious as to where he was lining up most often as he seems to very much be on the same development curve that Harrold was when he first was signed.

Mullen has been playing D mostly, had a couple of great goals recently!

Hopefully, he'll play better for the narchs than he did here for the kings. As excited as I was when we initially acquired him, I was disappointed with his overall play. Perhaps he hasn't fully recovered from his injuries from last season, who knows, but other than his experience and leadership, he really didn't bring a whole lot.
Hey everyone, Islanders fan coming in peace. Just had a question about a Monarchs jersey I have.
I recently bought a blank Manchester Monarchs jersey and I wanted to get it customized for Matt Moulson however I was having trouble finding what number her wore. I have attached an image of the jersey I have. It's the away (dark) jersey they wore from 08-10.
I have been finding conflicting images of Moulson and his jersey. Which did he wear the longest or what would be the most appropriate?
It looks like he worse 25 with an alternate patch.
It also looks like he worse 39? with a Catholic Medical Center sponsorship patch, which mine does not have.
Any further info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

He wore 39 in 2006-2007, 25 in 2007-2008 and 52 in 2008-2009
