I heard this tonight ...

Now don't kill me ... The Blues play only 13 of the final 33 at home (due to college wrestling & basketball championships) ... Your opinion on the Blues ownership/management for the possible overbooking of the Scott Trade Center?

Not really a big deal, they still play 41 at home and 41 on the road make the most of them when you play them. I don't believe in excuses.

If you own The Blues and run the building you need to worry about the bottom line, so they have to make buck any way they can especially in tough times.

Its about 40% at home over those 33, so it's not even that bad.

I'm not so sure that it is the owners and management who schedule the games. If anything it is an effort taken on by the League in cooperation with owners and event planners. March Madness, Cirque du Soleil and other pre-scheduled events like that certainly provide challenges to game scheduling, but it is something that pretty much every NHL and NBA team must face.

I'm less interested in the home/away mix at the end of the season than I am having the Blues paced with too many games in a short time and then long lulls with no games (like the past couple years). That issue is much improved this year. I really don't have a lot of complaints about the schedule. They get just as many home games as anyone else.

I'm with the prevailing sentiment. If the Blues can't handle it, they don't deserve to make the playoffs. More road or home happens in any given streak. Two six-game trips at the end of the year is rough, but it just means they need to continue to pile up the wins now, when they're at home all the time.

Off the top of my head I don't know if it's been this bad in years past, but we've always had college basketball playoffs at Scottrade, so it's nothing new.

Also, how long has St. Louis had the wrestling championships? something like 10 years? this is far from new and consists of like 1 weekend.

Just another obstacle to overcome. Will have to win road games in the playoffs as well.

Some of the road trips are broken up with a layover back home, so that should help a little.
