He isn't a star, but Felton showed us last year that you need not be a star to thrive in this system as a one or a two; just get up the floor and dictate. I think Bibby can do that. I also expect TD and Landry to have their share of duties at guard. Another season under their belts plus Bibby and our backcourt is better by default.

I read Crawford signed elsewhere?

Crawford was down to 3 teams- Knicks, Portland, Sacramento. Portland and Sacramento were offering 2 years 10 million whereas the Knicks can only offer the mid level exception which is 2 years 5 million. Crawford just eliminated the Knicks from what I've read recently on twitter.

Good keep him out west. Man if the Lakers get Howard at some point no way Deron stays with the Nets next year. That team could be awful.

Wow, Clippers gave up alot.

Kaman, Gordon, Aminu, and Minny's pick. Good deal for the Hornets. They'll probably suck and Wolves pick will probably be top 5-10 in a deep draft.

Not a biggy. I take TD 8/10 over Crawford.

Any day. Gordon could be a top-5 scorer in NBA in next year or 2.

Breaking: Knicks lose another one. Shawne Williams, according to a source, decides to sign with Nets

Williams was annoyed the Knicks made him wait they targeted Jamal Crawford. Allan Houston met with him last night.

Meh. He doesn't rebound, doesn't get to the line and had a career year behind the arc. He was useful off the bench but that's not a huge loss.

It was a pretty decent loss considering we have zero depth and he's a 40% 3PT shooter off the bench. Don't blame him for taking the money though.

I liked Williams. An automatic 3pt shooter is very useful with our frontline. Honestly don't know much about Maurice Evans who is now apparently the number one target. Looks like more of another 2 guard than a 3 given his height. Anyone got a scouting report?

In his three previous seasons, he posted 3P% of 36.5, 31.4, and 5.9. Is he really a 40% shooter, or was last season an aberration? I'm always hesitant to pay a "specialist" based on one season of his specialty.

Good point.

He would have helped though. He's a product of D'Antoni's offense IMO. All he can do is shoot 3s. He probably won't be anything under Avery Johnson there with the Nets.
