Mike York

2G, 1A tonight so far.

Glad to see the guy picking it up a bit. I still like the guy, even if he was forced to play out on the Island.

I still rue the day that Sather sent him away for Poti. The guy liked being a Ranger, much unlike just about everybody else on that team. Fleury was a complete circus act that whole season, total distraction, and the message Sather sent was that if you work hard, care and perform you will be sent away. Nice.

Yeah but I think York wore 61 in college. At least that's what they said on the OLN Isles-Blues game tonight.

We have Poti who was also an all star just once I wonder if he played any defense in college. Rangers should move him to forward. I doubt it.

York has been picking it up of late w/ a goal in Detroit and 5 points tonight. Isles need him to get going and he is. But I don't get the he was forced to play on LI stuff. The guy was traded and signed a contract prior to the season. If York though he was being forced to play he would not have signed the contract that may I add pays him over 2 million a year to play.

Probably because it's a predictable, weak cheapshot. But just go with the flow, Joe.

You win with players like York. Guy's no star, but he's a warrior.

He grew up an Isles fan actually. York actually has integrity, which usually translates into signing with your current team and playing hard, even if he once bleed Ranger blue. Hope he makes the Olympic team. Heh, hey flynn, I remember breaking the news to you that York was wearing 61 in the olympics. I could hear your jaw drop through AIM. Sweet number, an homage to his Isles hero Lafontaine (reversed).
