Casey Wellman (Wrist)

http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/135711313.html

Casey Wellman was not a healthy scratch. Didn't play because he got slashed in the wrist in the Winnepeg game. So far all results negative so that is a good sign.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this point.

So far this season our injury list includes

Koivu
Seto
latendresse
Bouchard
Wellman
Clutterbuck
Powe
Falk
Scandella
Zidlicky
Zanon
Lundin
Backstrom
Harding

I can't help think we are screwed. I know I am negative nelly, but no way the Wild survives this.

Almost everyone gets injured at one point in the season, so including everyone to this point makes that list look longer and worse than it really is.

If Butch isn't having PCS and Koivu is just minor like it sounds I'm not overly worried.

And dont forget Cullen was sick for the Peggy game.

That makes 5 of our top 6 at season start.

Maybe were just getting the injuries out of the way at the beginning of the season so we can be healthy for our cup run

So when our offense was mostly healthy our defense was banged up. Now that our defense is mostly healthy our offense is banged up.

Would it be cheaper to just move the Aeros to Minneapolis to save on travel costs?

Hopefully this is minor. Wellman looked like he was belonging on that second line before the Winnipeg game.

I kinda wish the Aeros were closer to their NHL team. Is there any place around Minnesota and surrounding states where they could be plopped down and be financially viable?

Duluth?

Otherwise see if Nashville would swap their affiliation with the Admirals for the Aeros. That could work nicely.

Duluth may work, but you'd have to schedule around the mens and womens teams.

Yeah, Duluth would work if you scheduled games around Bulldog and High School games...

Just ice the Gophers. I bet they could beat the Islanders with Yeo's coaching.

Why get the #2 ranked team when you can get the #1 just a few hours away

What about Grand Forks? They've got a gorgeous arena up there for the Sioux.

I wish Fargo had a real hockey palace, but the Urban Plains Center only seats 6,000.

I would love to have the Aeros in Grand Forks. It would never happen though.

Its okay. Houston will probably be getting an NHL team sometime so the Aeros will probably get moved out of town, and potentially renamed allowing the NHL team to take over the name.

What would we call a Grand Forks AHL team?

Probably not. Houston could support an AHL and an NHL team.

I don't trust you. Looking at your name your opinion is clearly biased.
