I had no idea Girardi led the league in ToI/G. Sick. He has certainly looked the part of Norris Candidate.
Heard a rumour that if Girardi won the Norris, they were going to make a separate award for his chin.
Just a rumour, though.
Anyway, Girardi certainly has been awesome - defensively, he's been arguably the best in the league. Still isn't near noticeable enough offensively to win a Norris, however.

Aren't you American? Why do you put a second u in rumor?
And does ESPN really not have an updated picture of Girardi? There's also no way I think Chara should win the Norris this season.

I agree with Zenith. No offensively challenged defensmen will ever win the Norris. That is not happened in 30 years.
Shea Weber is a great all around defensmen who has 21 points. He is +14 on a team that has scored same amount they have allowed.
Duncan Keith is also back to form from two years ago.
One of those two win it IMO.

I thought Keith has been shaky defensively this season so far?
Just what i've read here because I haven't watched much of Chicago this season.
I can't knock Chara, Weber, and Campbell as they all deserve to be up there with top defensive and offensive play in the league.
However, before he got elbowed to the face, Kris Letang was killing it and could easily be the best defender in the league, hands down, he was so important to Pittsburgh.
Lidstrom has again quietly been putting up another solid year just as equal to Chara or Weber and better than Girardi or Suter.
I'd also say Alexander Edler has also been extremely good this year.
