For the second straight month, Quebec Remparts winger Mikhail Grigorenko has been ranked the No. 1 prospect for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the International Scouting Service.

...

not sure where to get the original ISS rankings but anyways

top 5

Grigorenko
Yakupov
Forsberg
Murray
Dumba

Koekkoek goes from 13 to 6

"New entries to the list include Modo defender Ludvig Bystrom, Kitchener's Radek Faksa and U.S. Under-18 winger Stefan Matteau"

edit: could be the correct one though, I guess TSN just made a typo and should have said Koekkoek raised 6 spots to 13th overall.

I find it really hard to understand the rankings of some of the Swedish guys. You really just have to trust what the scouts tell you with those guys.

I would like to meet the GMs/Scouts who would take Frk, Athanasiou and Maidens over Galchenyuk if they were searching for a forward. You could say the same about Collberg and Aberg too to a lesser extent though.

Who is the best straight up offensive-defensemen here? Any Karlsson's in this draft?

I don't get to watch Frk, but I would think he'd be the closest to Galchenyuk. Athanasiou is nowhere close and I have no idea who Maidens is. I don't get it either.

No he plays center. He's listed as a RW on the QMJHL website but he has been playing center since his first shift in the Q.

Määttä 11th on one list and 47th on another. Quite diversity.

Every OHL play by play announcer I've heard actually seems to pronounce it either "Koo Kook" or "Koo Koo".

Would probably Dumba or Rielly but I wouldn't say either of them really play the same game as Karlsson. Dumba is a high risk-high reward guy but he's much more physical than Karlsson will ever be.

So is Yakupov still the best prospect since Crosby? (Honest Question)
