Which is irrelevant because shootout wins don't count as wins for the tiebreaker. That's the point I was making, tiebreaker is non-shootout wins (ROW) then H2H then goal differential. ROW is same, Blues own H2H due to two regulation wins over Detroit. It's a small point but kind of annoying because even our own beat writers repeat it like it's true.
Both games against Detroit were home games, since we have not played in Detroit yet then there are not any head to head games that count. Therefore it goes to goal differential where Detroit kicks are ass pretty easily. That is why they are higher in the standings then we are. After we play a game in Detroit you can count one of the Blues home wins in head to head and after we play a second game in Detroit you can count both games in STL. ESPN and NHL have it right. Sorry but you have it wrong.
Haha that's pretty good. I just figured most teams have their own little avatar theme and we should get on board. Granted I have no ability to do this myself and it'd have to be out of the goodness of shorton or another poster's heart.
a couple of things,..
Team looks amazing!!
-I live in Ottawa so ive seen Elliot at his best and at his worst, hes not the same goalie, much more relaxed, kinda worried about playoff time, but having halak, he tends to step it up a notch, nice back up plan
-i like stewart, i really do, but if i see his dump the puck one more time rather then make a play, im gonna vomit, so predictable,
- reaves is outplaying stewart..
- where are we gonna put macdonald!?!(nice problem to have)
-love having arnott and langs, reliable..
-perron hasnt lost a step...still i feel nervous everytime hes on the ice with concussions these days
- berglunds stronger then he thinks he is..he can muscle his way to the net,
