For the love of god and the final time there is no "Lunkan"...

The nickname "Lunkan" is not a nickname of Henrik Lundqvist.

Lunkan is a stockholmish nickname created by stockholm based commentators. Henke has never and will never be called "Lunkan" other then by a few ******** commentators who dont know crap what they are talkin about but feel cool when they are using a nickname of a player.

The same commentators used the nickname "Linkan" on a player called Lindqvist (correctly) and hence thought that Lundqvist would have to be Lunkan. Nicknames ending with "an" and based of the sir name are virtually only used in the stockholm region. But since stockholm equals sweden for the recidence of that town "their nickname" is always the correct one.

I dont mean to flame anyone who has been using this nickname because I do know that alot of people think its an actually nickname because they have heared it on TV. But it aint and when you use it you do come across as an ignorant person.

I agree, I live in Stockholm and we are guilty of doing what you accused us of doing. Does not make it any less annoying though.

I think in the last GDT a swedish poster might have called him that a few times saying it's one of his nicknames.
