Brendan Shanahan handed out his seventh suspension in seven days Wednesday, ruling this time on Tom Sestito.
The Philadelphia Flyers forward will sit out the rest of the preseason and the first two regular-season games for a hit from behind on the New York Rangers' Andre Deveaux on Monday. He was ejected on the play.
"Sestito actually increases his speed and makes contact directly with Deveaux's back, driving him hard into the glass," Shanahan said in a video explaining his decision.

Sorry for bumping it up, but did find this interesting:

Technically, Tom Sestito has been called up but he still has to serve his NHL suspension he received in preseason.

He served it and is staying up beyond that.

So I guess Sesito is staying up as our extra guy. Hope to see him in a game here or there. Liked him during training camp. Doesnt take **** from no-one and actually has some offensive upside.

He's not the smartest player out there though, iirc. It could have been that at camp he was trying to impress with energy and skating and such. One thing Shelley has going for him (assuming it is Shelley's spot Testito would take) is that he has a pretty decent hockey sense. For an enforcer of course. He just lacks most of everything else.
Not that it matters too much who our 15th forward is, but I would have preferred Holmstrom. Zolnierczyk has filled in admirably but he isn't really a center.
