Isn't Cunneyworth a good players coach? If so this will be much better.

Odd timing, but this is good news. The key is to pick the right replacement. This year is a wash. Hopefully Gauthier is given his walking papers at the end of the season and the Habs leave no stone unturned looking for a GM and HC.

Randy Cunneyworth as coach? How the hell does that help our offense? This guy was in charge of the PP.

I'm VERY glad Martin is gone, but hiring one of the Randy's is not what I wanted at all. This team needs an experienced coach and a fresh start. I wanted to at least try and get Carlyle

This is BS. If you want to fire him at least have someone to replace him not Randy Cunnyworth.

Dude, the season's over and seriously, I don't think there will be much of a downgrade from Martin.

Randy did pretty well in the AHL. Lets see what he can do.

In addition, this gives the Habs time to sit down and figure out WTF they want to do.

JM is gone, we just have a few other people that need to go...but we're going in the right direction.

:han dclap:

Last time I was this happy, the Habs knocked Pittsburgh out of the playoffs.

You know what an interim is? There's very little chance Cunneyworth will still be the HC next year.

Thank you Gainey!
First off the Bruins have nothing to do with his firing.

Secondly, Martin's style of coaching was also stifling for talented forwards. What makes you think the team won't be disciplined under a new coach? It's not like PG waves a magic wand and everything they've worked on disappears.

Anyway, JM's problem was his inability to adjust in game and his poor decision making which cost us games.
