If someone says he has personal issues I'm gonna lose it. SEE A ****ING THERAPIST. Two years of personal issues - ****ing retire already!
I totally believe in him though, he's very talented and driven. I think he never really adapted to Jacques Martin (I don't think Gomez did ever either, maybe he'll end up producing when Jacques is gone?) and when times are hard and dry Cammy can't bring himself to rely on Jacque's system so he grips his stick harder and so on and so forth.
The room's divided now, I'm sure Cammy is one the egos very much involved. I hope it doesn't turn out too bad.
I think I saw this guy, but he has mastered a new move.
It is a very tough move in which he can be in position to win a race for a puck with a defender right behind him, then in a split second can stop on a dime, jump around the player chasing him and then continue on as the second player to the puck. It is very smart because now he is a defender and can try and steal the puck from the player that is twice his size.
In all seriousness, he is avoiding physical contact at all costs. Ever since his shoulder injury he is afraid of getting hurt and it shines through into his overall game. He has not been right for one and a half season and I am getting very sick of it. At times I think he purposely misses passes or makes bad plays while trying to make it look like it was an honest mistake just so he doesn't have to get hit.
Perhaps a coaching change will help him, but at this point I wouldn't be sad at all to see him traded for a power forward.
Does anybody have the foggiest clue what the hell is wrong with Mike Cammalleri???
People used to complain about Kovalev turning the puck over all the time....well Kovy had nothing on what Cammalleri is showing us so far this season!
I never seen a player so frusterating to watch as Cammalleri has been this season. He isn't skating, he can't stick handle with the puck, he can't pass or accept a pass and his best asset, his shot, has been awful so far.
For a guy who makes $6 million a season....I expect a hell of a lot more out of Cammalleri than what he's shown this season. Hell at least Gomez works his a$$ off when he is in the lineup...more than I can say for Cammy.
As far as I'm concerned...I'd be more than willing to part with Cammalleri right now. I'm sure he could fetch the Habs a couple of good 2nd or 3rd line players with some size, grit and a little heart for us right now.
If I were PG....I'd be making some calls to see what kind of return the Habs can get for Cammalleri!! Yes....he might be a beast in the playoffs, but we need a player that is willing to put in a little effort to help his team MAKE the playoffs first.
