G. Molson Appreciation thread

Maybe he is not so cheap, after all...

Canning JM costed him 2$ Million

Here`s hoping Gomez is next!

It`s always nice to have an Owner who is AGGRESSIVE.

G. Molson- I applaud You

Not really, by hiring the replacement as in house, and then re-assigning the Assistant GM to be an Assistant Coach, Molson brought in ZERO new contracts.

That's kind of cheap if you ask me.

How many ex-sens will we employ before this team changes it's ways? Still have an ex-sen coaching and managing... can't we just rid this team of them?

it costed him 2Million to fire martin

I`m not sure, but doesn`t Randy get a pay increase for being promoted ?

The fact that they took an interm coach isn`t a question of being cheap.

This.

Molson backed his team and staff, but he clearly wont stand for ********, he knew things weren't clicking and I can assure you a few players complained about JM.

Gomez could possibly be the next, but Molson needs a pat on the back for telling PG its Him, or Both of you, your choice.

I'm sure Randy will get a pay increase but not much. So its only going to cost him maybe $300 000 extra than what he would have paid.

I have no clue what assistant coaches make but I think new rookie head coaches make in the $700k range. Let's say he was making $200k as an assistant, if they tell you, we'll double your salary if you take the head coaching job are you going to do it?

They took the cheap way out. I don't have a problem with it but as of this point, they are hardly shelling out that much more money.

Its an interim thing. You rather they rush and higher someone like Darryl Sutter? They'll do their due diligence, I'm not concerned.

In more good new, Bob Mackenzie said in his insider segment that ownership RE: Gauthier were "breathing down his neck", which means that Molson wont sit for mediocrity.

Sseason's almost half over and we're 12th. May as well go for Grigorenko then bring in Roy as GM.

GM?? No way. I don't even want him for coach. Two words, Jim Nill.

Generations of Molsons have been part of this club for decades. It's more than a simple business to their family and they are committed to winning. As we speak, they're looking carefully at next year's UFA market and playing with a whole lot of numbers.

Is that the same G. Molson people here went berserk on for his public statement a couple of weeks ago?

Proof some people are clueless about how some things work in real life and are taking stuff way too seriously.

For the record, this was my comment on G. Molson's "vote of confidence" roughly a week ago:

Who said Molson fired Martin? Gauthier probably made this decision, and was then surprised when Molson told him he couldn't hire anyone outside the organization. Hence we have Cunningworth for the rest of the year. Molson can then decide if he wants to keep Gauthier or clean house.

IF Molson had moved to solve the problem, I would applaud. Instead, Gauthier made his third desperation move in a short time.

01. Fire Perry Pearn, it's all his fault!! Save Martin's ass.
02. Move Spacek for Kaberle... that'll send a message and wake up the team!
03. ****! Sorry my friend, I can't protect you anymore... bye Jacques!

If Bob Mckenzie and the Hotstove crew are correct, Molson is about to pull the plug on the Gainey/Gauthier amateur hour. That's the first sign for a while of a team owners committment to something other than profit.

Molson could have done this a long time ago.
Anyone recall when Perry Pearn was fired.

His procastination has cost the team a few weeks.

I was sitting a few seats in front of Molson last night. He really didn't seem pleased.

... if you were in front of him that means you had to have been looking behind you to see his expression? lol

Maybe he looked displeased because he found you annoying?!

That third period was so boring that I thought the action in his box was more interesting than what was going on on the ice.

And no, I didn't harass him if you must know....

damn moron didn't even want to sign my boob.
