I am very happy they got the 2 points but that was not even close to a good effort. They were gifted the last 2 goals.

NEED to play a full 60 Tues.

Also need some more healthy bodies, team is banged up right now. That plus some of the ice time disparities they've got going and I am worried about hitting a major wall Feb/Mar.

I thought Stralman played a great game tonight and made some strong defensive plays.

Yeah, no kidding. Mitchell, Christensen....ugh. Hagelin/Boyle/Rupp/Prust are nice pieces, but they need a big body who can handle the puck, and they need a bit more speed.

Really? The only part of the game that the Rangers weren't carrying the play in was the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period. Were they dominating? No, they weren't. But they were the better team for the majority of this game.

Sather NEEDS to acquire a defenseman. Now. A bottom 3 of Stralman, Erixon, and Woywitka will get you nowhere.

Torts needs to just make the top 6 , Richards, Stepan, Gaborik, Callahan, Anisimov, Dubinsky

after that Hagelin, Boyle, Fedotenko, Rupp, Prust and the final piece should be Avery

I had little patience with Mitchell unlike some, he's showing why he's a call up at best..........The guy did a good job but needs to go down.........EC stinks but he's a cheap spare

Agree to disagree - they may have been better but they weren't good IMO. For all of the puck possession they did not generate enough quality offensive chances.

I absolutely loved the crowd reaction at the bottom of the screen during the goal...so many Rangers fans.

Eminger's injury is a blessing in disguise.

IIRC Roszival pulled a muslce last season that prompted Macdonagh to get called up and increased Sauer's ice time by 5-7 mins a game.

Play Erixon. He got a taste already and should be just fine. Pair him with his paisan, who plays right defense and has looked good the last few games.

Ive been impressed with Stralman this year, however he needs to be no where near our top 2 pairs. I'm not gonna be to optimistic with Sauer, with his prior history and how it seems guys getting concussed are out longer then what we expect.

I thought Rupp played well tonight.

Disagree. Erixon is our top defensive prospect. Way to have some confidence. From all accounts he is playing well in Connecticut. Stralman has looked solid and Woywitka has been serviceable. Staal should be back by mid to late january(optimistically). As long as our forwards continue to play good supporting defense, i see no need to make a big trade.

Biron's wins are more important than people realize. Getting a W while resting your starter is a double victory. If Lundqvist winds up playing only 55-60 games, I bet he'll avoid his usual mid-season cold streak.

I am a huge Erixon fan, but this is a team that (should) be trying to compete. They need as many wins as possible; there is a major lack of defenseman who can competently play 20+ minutes with the current injuires. Erixon will probably be given 10ish minutes for the first few games, and then get sent back down once a player comes back (probably Eminger). Sauer is shoing this year why, while he is a great defensive defenseman, he isn't reliable. Staal is gone for god knows how long. I'd like some stability and consistency.

I think he should still go out and acquire a legit top-4 just to save Girardi and Macdonagh.

It's time for Sather to fleece a struggling team. my wish list (in no order)

Gleason
Lydman
Lubomir
Jack Johnson
Tyutin
Bouwmeester

First Star of the game is the game clock.

Second and third go to Gaborik and Del Zotto
