TERRIFIC TRIOS

Alexander Frolov-Craig Conroy-Pavol Demitra, Kings
An overlooked transaction this past off-season was the arrival of Demitra to L.A. That's because the former Blues forward had previously done well on a line with Conroy. Demitra spent most of his time at center since Conroy left St. Louis, but he's at home on the right side of this unit.

DYNAMIC DUOS

Jason LaBarbera and Mathieu Garon, Kings
The Kings had major questions between the pipes when 2005-06 began, but the LaBarbera-Garon tandem has worked like a charm. Neither goalie has been able to establish himself as the unquestioned starter, so look for coach Andy Murray to continue to play the hot hand.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Anze Kopitar, C, Los Angeles Kings
Kopitar is spending one more season in Sweden (with Sodertalje SK in the Elitserien) before competing for a roster spot on the Kings. Despite the fact few teens ever produce in elite leagues overseas, Kopitar has been among his club's best player this season. Look for the Slovenian sniper to join the Kings next season, as the team is starting to age down the middle. Kopitar should produce right away in 200607.

I hope so.

Kopitar, Tambellini, Grebeshkov, Tukonen, Kanko, should be coming in soon to go along with Frolov, Gleason, Brown and Cammalleri.

In 2 years, Conroy will stil be a better player than Boyle. You don't just throw away all your veterans because you want to fit in your youth... The lineup you posted would be fighting tooth and nail just to make the playoffs in 2 years.

Not Sure. I could be wrong but I think he signed a 4 year deal. Scratch 1 off to lockout and 2 years from now would be his last season. (it might have been 3 in which case he'd be a free agent)
