I had a beer league game last night, and didn't get home until midway through the 3rd quarter. I watched a replay of Jacobs' 1st TD run and almost choked on my breakfast out of laughter. Watching him desecrate the star was hilarious. I almost forgive him for sucking the first 2/3 of the season.

Wes Welker (league's leading receiver) has more receiving yards than MJD (league's leading rusher) has rushing yards...when's the last time the season ended with that being the case?

EDIT - never mind, it was '07...Wayne and Moss both had more rec yards than Tomlinson's league leading rush

And 2001 before that, David Boston > Priest Holmes

So I guess it's somewhat rare.

EDIT 2 -Also found a contract page, I've been asking around so maybe other people are looking for it too?

Did you guys see Steve Smith was put on season ending IR the other day? After the sting was gone that he signed elsewhere this might have been our best off season non move..Cruz is 10 times the player Smith is going forward..

Although if he is up for a little redemption, i'd take him back for cheap next year.

Would open Cruz up and allow the Gmen to spend Manningham money on more pressing needs like OL and LB.

I want Manningham back.He gets no love on this board..I think we miss him if he leaves..I see your point about freeing up money tho..I'll pass on Smith part 2.Screw him.Barden and Jerrigan can fill in.

Barden is a good 3rd down WR and red zone target.

Jernigan reminds me of Sinorice Moss.

I thought Barden was solid when we were missing other guys. Given a slightly larger role, I think he can be adequate. Cruz and Nicks are good enough that WR isn't our biggest issue.

It is true, although given Nicks's injury history a good #3 and #4 cant go wrong.

Need to draft o-line and defense.

I'd love to keep Manningham, but he'll probably cost too much money when the team really needs to improve other pieces. WR is probably our strongest position, other than D-line when JT and Osi are actually playing for real.

I would do an entire defense draft next year..Nothing but LB's and Secondary help.I think Mitch Petrus on the OL could be a keeper.

Based off the whole 15 or so plays they've had?

I think it's early to make assumptions on either.

I would think Barden would be a good red zone target, yet he's never used there. Beckum was given a fade route over him for christs sake.

I wouldn't really want to depend on Barden as top 3 guy.

Keeping manningham is so price dependent for me. Hes just so inconsistent.

I guess a lot depends on whether we have the same staff next year too.

BPA

This draft seems really weak at MLB. The best 3 down MLB is going back to school.

I think this draft is deep in the secondary though. We desperately need some speed back there. I wouldn't be opposed to replacing Phillips, he just hasn't gotten back to his playmaking self.

I'm so disappointed in Prince. Really hope it's rust & being out of shape.

I think our DTs get off easy around here. We could really use an upgrade there IMO. Teams make HUGE holes on us and rarely get push up the middle.

We'll probably need a new RT next year too.

The Prince will be fine. He's coming back from a fractured bone in his foot as a rookie. He had no time to prepare due to the lockout, and he couldn't keep in shape because of the injury. If he has problems next year, I would start to worry.

As for the draft, we need to go OL and LBs, if possible. BPA if the value isn't there when we pick. I would also like to see us keep taking chances on these late round RBs, ala Da'Rel Scott.

Fewell needs to go.

Also JT should just sit out the rest of the season. Heal up, and don't blow next year brother.

Looking at Jets playoff chances.

If Jets go 2-1 and beat the Dolphins they get in over a 3-0 Bengals
If Jets go 2-1 and Titans go 3-0 Titans are in.
If Jets go 3-0 they are in.

Nice sack by JPP. He's really coming into his own this season.

He's the reincarnation of the retired spirits of Strahan and LT.

Too bad the rest of our defense blows.

Giants have got to be the most inconsistent team in the NFL.
