Yesterday the Phantoms guy Tweeted that Lilja injured his hand during Friday's game and was out for last night's game. What goes here?

RT @PSPhantoms: Per @PSCrunchHockey, Andreas Lilja is out tonight for the Phantoms. Took a puck off hand in Binghamton on Friday.
Beat me to it... Good news on the Lilja front I guess we could do with the experience in D?
Odd that Marshall is still up and Walker has not been waived down yet either... I assume Bourdon is staying put.
I think that puts us at 23 on the roster... if Couturier is on IR... if not, aren't the Flyers over without sending someone down? I thought we were one under the 23 before yesterday.
Makes sense. Too bad Lilja missed out on that second game with the Phantoms though. He should be able to take on a few more minutes than Marshall's been given.
Not that Holmstrom will ever turn into a point producer in the NHL, but he is on a 3-game goal scoring streak atm. He will probably see some pk time with Couturier and Giroux out of the lineup.
Did we send someone down, or will Marshall, Walker and Sestito all remain with the team?
Mystery solved... The answer per Frank Seravalli blog is that Lilja is eligible to come off LTIR on Wednesday and Giroux is now placed on IR which can be retroactive to 12/10 so he can come off any time he is ready.
...So, G was actually one of the 23 before the latest recalls, and they can keep both Walker and Marshall as the 6th and 7th D-men until Lilja comes off on Wednesday at Dallas, if that is in fact the case.
So if Lilja can't be bought off IR til Wednesday why not give him another game (tonight I believe) with the Phantoms?
Maybe his hand was a little roughed up and they feel it better to give it time to heel up... Maybe his leg held up well in conditioning stint; he won't play very many minutes with Flyers when he's in anyway... so little need to build up his stamina.

Dunno, at this rate he'll be clocking 20mins a night sooner or later when he and Walker become our top pair through injury...
My guess? They put Matt Read back at center and move Harry Z up to play with Read and Simmonds.
Hartnell-Briere-Jagr
Voracek-Talbot-JVR
Simmonds-Read-Harry Z
Rinaldo-Holmstrom-Shelly
To be honest Hartnel and Briere have worked well before and those lines put a lot of weight on the top set but the second isn't so bad and the 3rd is ok... 4th is a bit grim but 'it is what it is' at the moment. I'm sure there must be teams who would quite like to have those 2nd or 3rd lines to replace thiers... I'd probably swap Read and Talbot though...
By the way what happened to Betts? I know he's on LITR but I thought that was mostly just because his injury stoped his move to Montreal but I didn't think it was actually a real long term one, just the same sort of thing he had when he was here that kept him out now and then?
