At my old job, we had a (now former) Ranger come in and do a live segment on the air with one of our anchors. Afterwards, she mentioned how he was "cute" and what not. Fast forward to one of the early games of the season. After the game, I was having a few beers with friends at Local, the bar across from the Garden. Several of the Rangers came in (as they usually did) including the afore-mentioned Ranger. He remembered me from the segment, and I told him what our anchor had said. He was pretty intrigued, and gave me his personal email address to give to her. The next morning, I gave it to her... and they set up a date.

On that date, however, he ditched her when some of the other Rangers came into the restaurant in which they were eating. The next day, she told me how pissed off she was. A few days after that, this Ranger called her and apologized, and asked for another date. She agreed, and he sent a limo to pick her up. But allegedly, she was none too pleased about his demeanor at the second date. And that was the end of it.

She didn't blame me, thankfully.

But the poor guy couldn't score. (Still can't, looking at the stats.)

My cousin played for the North Stars and the Sharks. Set PIMS record one year in the IHL.

nah, the other poster played with Brian's son.

While I am a few years younger than Brian, it's only 6 years younger.

Actually just saw a picture on facebook this morning with my uncle coaching a very young Joey Mullen.

Tony Lo Bianco is my grandmother's cousin. OK, big deal you say? I saw him sitting next to Rod Gilbert at a Rangers game in 1991!! He gave me a big kiss hello which gave me the "cred" to talk to meet Gilbert. I walked out with them and met Neil Smith in the elevator.

My cousin used to date Tommy Salo when he was playing for the Piles..
So the personal connection here is that Salo played against the Rangers?

I saw Tie Domi at Fenway Park last season. He talked to me and my buddies for a few minutes and took a picture with my buddy pretending to punch him in the face. He was a really nice guy.

wasn't going to post this but if we're already talking about MDZ as a jackass, my friend's been dating a girl on and off for a few years now and MDZ hits her up on facebook all the time asking if she'll come into the city and hang out. tells her he'll get her tickets to games etc etc. the other day he sent her a message that just said "**** buddies?"

best part is my friend and his girlfriend are flyers fans.

when i was in high school i worked at a mall and one day mike richter was doing a signing on the other side of the mall. when we closed i was gonna go down and see if i could catch a glimpse but the signing was already long over, but as i was walking out i saw him standing with two other guys and walked over and we talked for a little it. nicest guy i've ever met, and he was my childhood idol so it was amazing for me.

Back when Brashear was with the Canucks he came to my city with another former Canuck (Harold Druken) long story short, Druken played in a ball hockey league with a couple of my friends, at the end of the season Druken had a party and Brashear was there drinking with all of us, playing pool. What a moment it was.

I once went by Lundqvist on the streets here in Gothenburg. Unfortunately it was Joel Lundqvist. So yeah... no ties

lJuicel - How was Brahear to hang out with? He appears to have a bad reputation but what was your experience?

.

My uncle is in the middle with the fedora on

By the looks of it and what I believe is correct in what I am told. Joey Mullen is sporting the goalie pads bottom row first on the left.

probably 1965 or thereabouts.

He was pretty quite actually, just drinking and playing pool and keeping to himself. When we were all leaving Druken and him were at the door shaking our hands and thanking us for coming over (it was also a fundraiser for the ball hockey team). He came off a bit cocky then, but for the most part he seemed alright.

Someone seemed creepy close to Patrick Rissmiller on these boards when we had him. Chris Higgins' brother posts here sometimes, too.

I was beat up by Mike Milbury when I was 12 outside of MSG in 93 for telling him the Islanders and Potvin suck.

I played against Ryan Callahan when we were in High School in Rochester, NY. He played for Hilton (our rivals) and I played for Irondequoit. We won 4-3. Who do you think scored their three goals?
