Nope. Toffoli's pretty much limited to a top 6 role and there are much, much better top 6 forwards available.

Yeah, he scored 2 goals last night, what else could he have done? Guess the game was useless.

Toffoli got caught simply because Connolly is an NHL'er. Connolly has been injured for most of camp and he has played poorly, on top of that he has a negative attitude.

I would have preferred Toffoli over Connolly...

Back to Stone, anyone know for sure what he line he will be playing on? I know he had some chemistry with Huberdeau, I wonder if they are going to be together again...

Everyone is predicting the

Huberdeau-Schiefle line.

Jebus... 6th, I could have swore 3rd. Either way, he's looking like a first rounder.

Toffoli was invisible and looked clearly behind the play in the red/white games.

Is this before or after Kesler did all of thoseInterview Bombs - eating pizza in the background, masks, etc etc.

My assumption has always been Connolly's misunderstood. Not an animated character whatsoever but that doesn't mean anything. Several have noted his teammates love him. Don't take guys for full value on interviews.

Ironic that you bring up Kesler and pizza. Connolly supposedly called Schwarz at 1am on the eve of final cuts to order pizza or something.

It was also noted his teammates weren't impressed with his hit on Howden though. Based on his play alone in the camp, no way he should be on the team.

Maybe just examples of guys that don't know him and take him for face value as most fans do. Pearson and Ceci were two guys, OHL guys, never played with Connolly before.

Gudbranson was even worse last year in camp. Oleksiak hasn't merited the shot since the beginning of the season, all the way to the final camp. Cowen made it in 2009/2010...he didn't merit it in camp and then all of a sudden look like a 5th round project in the tournament.

The NHL guys don't come back to camp to try out.

Thats him in the background though. Thats the thing im trying to say, they're the kind of guys who are loved behind closed doors and not in the spot light of the media.

It also took Kesler how many season's to show a human side?
