That was pathetic last night. The coaching staff might say "we were happy because we didn't give up" but the reality is that great third period really just proves they're not getting anywhere near the most from the players they have. It would have been better if they sucked all game; it's even more embarrassing when you suck the first two periods then play a great third! Laziness.
I cringed when they got that last pp - then cringed more with the 5 on 3 - I knew when they didn't score all of their hard fought momentum would swing back to Carolina, and that's exactly what happened.
