NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

There was a TV between the benches and on the TV it said "0.1 seconds" was left when the puck was over. That’s not a good feeling. You have to wait, it’s not in your control, but it worked out.
- Brad Richards

You couldn’t breathe in that building. It’s so dry. I’m sucking wind, and it was a weird game.
It came in flurries. It came in a lot of shots at once and then nothing for a while, so mentally it’s challenging but you’ve got to stay in there.
- Martin Biron

I thought we had a really good start. We did the things we needed to do. We got to the body. I thought we defended well for most of the game. I don’t think we gave up many chances.
They changed the momentum in the second period on us, and in the third period, we didn’t give up much and I don’t think they gave up much.
That fluke goal at the beginning of the period helped us to get back in it, and we just tried to stay with it and we end up finding a way to win the game.
- John Tortorella

Looking forward to this one. Do we know who's in net for the Devils? It's very weird seeing anyone but Brodeur between the pipes donning a Devils jersey.

I think it's Brodeur tonight. That was yesterday's speculation.

Our defense tonight makes me want to vomit.

Hate that Sean is scratched for this one. If Marty really is in net for the debbies, Avery should play.

That blueline scares the living **** out of me. When DZ and Strålman will be logging close to 25 minutes, you know we're in trouble. Need big time production from our top players to win this one. Let's get it done! LGR!

Wouldn't be shocked if Girardi or McDonagh are doing the same on the bench after playing 30 minutes.

Not nit-picking LoFFeN, but we have 40 pts, not 50.

3-2 NYR win with goals from Gaborik, Hagelin, and Callahan.

Let's keep rolling....

after playing 30 minutes through the first 2 periods

but really, these 2 need a huge break. hope Danny G doesn't get elected to the All Star team just so he could have a week off.

excited for this game tonight. always love it when we play the Devils. and Fatty is in net, too, which makes it even better. LGR!

Not expecting a win. Our blueline is awful. If the Devils lose this one, they should be worried.

Devils first line of Henrique - Parise - Kovalchuk has been hot lately. But we have a competitive advantage in net tonight. I expect it to be a good game, and think we'll win.

Ummmm have you seen our defense? lol.

Larsson is going to miss the Caps game Friday and the Canes game next week. His grandmother passed away and Lou is letting him go home to Sweden for Christmas. He needed a few days off anyway. He's real homesick.

Anyway, good luck tonight guys. I agree... dumb move sitting Avery. He's real good at getting Marty, Kovy, and Clarkson off their game.

he will play tonight and fly back to Sweden after the game to be with his family. his grandmother whom he was very close with passed away recently.

the Devils defense is banged up too. Andy Greene is on IR and Tallinder might not play due to back spasms

could see a lot of goals tonight!

Do you remember that guy the Devils had around in Camp and then decided to not sign him? Yeah, he is playing in the Rangers top-4.......

Surprisingly he has looked pretty decent but the pairing of MDZ-Stralman, as the Rangers 2nd pairing, is enough to give anyone nightmares.

Oh how I miss Staal and Sauer
