Even if you were, that's not the way you'd find out

Hoping you get some time to play a bunch of games with us soon, we play different than when you last played with us. A lot more cycling.

Fun times tonight, but we really need to work on offense.

It starts with getting on the same page. The constant off-sides, bumping into each other as you cross the blue-line, going into the same corners for loose pucks, cutting through the middle when the two opposing D are guarding it quite well, it all has to be fixed. I think we need to spend some time in practice and build on that.

Admittingly, myself and Hannibal were not perfect either as we did have bloopers here and there. But for the most part, the defense was good from both us two and the help of back-checking as well. Once the offense kicks in we should be pretty set.

Yeah I was talking about it with Allurey last night. We're admittedly both the biggest culprits when it comes to turnovers at the opposing blue line (I'm leading the team in giveaways by a wide margin). I don't know if it's because I'm not a master dangler, but I suggested that we should practice more dump-in plays and more passes before the blue line.

In terms of the defensive zone coverage, there needs to be an understanding of each persons role given the zone in which the puck is located. It doesn't have to be complicated, as long as each person knows where they should be when they aren't pressuring the puck carrier.

Example: Whenever I am playing RW, and I see both D behind the net, I position myself either: 1) Along the boards to receive a pass depending if the center is covering the point/front of the net. 2) Front of the net if the center is positioned near the boards to receive a breakout pass.

Etc.

For me and Hannibal, it's easy in the defensive zone. We both understand each other's weaknesses and we know our roles. When puck is being handled on the left side, I cover the puck carrier while Hannibal takes care of the front of the net. Vice versa on the right said. You'll hear us a lot when we handle the puck, mainly Switch and 'Round the boards! Communication is key.

And I loved when Allurey blew up last night. Was charging his mic and he made a weird dump-in on a penalty kill. He then turns his mic on and says, JACK what the **** are you doing rushing on a penalty kill? One of our D is in the box, you fill the role for now. Stop ****ing rushing with me and stay back.

I think that we should stop to play club games when we're only two online.

We MUST play club games only when we're 3 or more.

I hate club games with ANY CPU players filling spots.

If I had one suggestion it's to practice how you enter the zone. IMO cutting in by boards is easy way to get hammered so learn to go through the middle then the remaining players don't necessarily need a set formation, they just need to get open. Once that happens and you're installed in the zone you can play the boards and cycle.
