Crazy Kings Stat of the Day

After last nights win, the Kings are 67-0-4 when leading after 2 periods since 2009. That HAS to be some kind of record. Let's hope Sutter can get us a lead going into the third period and we should be good as gold the rest of the way!

I'm sure it's a Kings record.

I'll trust you on this, but the way they blow leads, particularly in the last minute, I just can't believe that stat. Mind = Blown.

Remember, this is when the Kings finish the 2nd with the lead.

They've had games where they ended the 2nd tied and blown a lead they gained in the third.

Minor correction - Leafs commentators said the Kings were currently 67-0-4 when taking a lead into the third period. After last night's win, they are now 68-0-4.

Crazy stat.

Lets see if it holds up in the post Murray era.

Anytime the Kings beat the Leaves, the refs are 145% responsible.

We actually didn't hold alot of leads.

40 of those 68 wins were in the shootout.

Many teams would love that stat.
I wonder what their record is when trailing after 2.

Well you'd have to look up last season and add it, but so far THIS Season at least ...

It will, because they'll be leading by 2+ goals instead of the Murray 1 goal lead.

That's not mathematically possible...and you know it.

I like that stat but most of them are not quality shots. What can be done to improve on that? (other than the trade that seems to be on the horizon for an elite winger)
Will Sutter be smart enough to bring in a good offensive guy for coach, since that is not his strong suit?
PK and Defense are fine under Stevens and the playes like himj. But Kompton didn't seem to achieve much . I'm guessing the PP is better more due to Richards QB'ng out there rather than Koimpton's planning??

I can't see how anyone who watches the Kings play on a regualr basis doesn't know this, Bob and Jim mention it like 10 times every 3rd period that we have a lead.

well, fans not knowing this is actually quite believeable.

A Kings' lead going into the 3rd period hasn't been happening a lot recently...

Hope Bob and Jim (have to) tell this story again Thur night.

We're 8-0-0 when scoring three or more!?

That sums up our season pretty well, 33 games in.

Send a message via ICQ to Sydor25
Kings will probably blow a 3-1 lead in the third tomorrow.
