Why the heck did your coach take Legwand off the pp And put Kostitsyn on it? Legwand Smith and Wilson have been great together on the PP!

Wilson shouldnt be on that line, Hornqvist or SK should. What has Hornqvist and Sk done to deserve there spots on the top 6? Im at a loss about it. Both have been playing like ****. Put Wilson on their I guarantee you see the team play better as a whole
Trotz isn't running a top line, a second line, and a third line. He's running three interchangeable "scoring" lines. Right now, the Wilson/Spaling/Tootoo line is generating the most chances and scoring the most ES goals. The problem is that moving Wilson requires scrambling all three of those scoring lines, including the two which are performing at ES of late. The only name on the back of a jersey that matters is on the collar where it says "Nashville" ... not the player's name. Of late, what Trotz has done is working no matter how illogical it looks.

i agree. trotz has always been the kind to run interchangeable scoring lines.. it sucks that wilson's line is the only one producing because now that would throw all three out of wack. i do believe that tootoo being on a line with wilson is a big part in the increase of production from toots.

Working? No it hasnt. The big 3 are why we have won our last 2-3 games. We havent generated **** tonight and pretty much more so the same against STL. We have been getting dominated and not any of the lines are performing right now. I dont see what you see. You apparently see the lines clicking but that isnt the case. The lines need to be changed, we look desperate and we are desperate.

Hornqvist is Hornqvist. He isn't going to be a sniper. He isn't going to be a great set up man. He is going to plant himself in front of the net, screen the goalie, try to tip the puck, and look for loose pucks in the crease. It isn't flashy, but we need players to do that job. The trouble with Hornqvist is when he isn't getting points doing that he really isn't doing much else, so it's easy to get frustrated with him. But if we didn't have him fans would be calling for Poile to get that type of player.

Much better period here. The guys are stilling giving up too many close-call plays (that 2-on-1 is the perfect example). I'm not really sure what SK was waiting for on his 2-on-1 right before that. He waited until the lane was closed to pass it, and he never did have a shooting lane open. You have to at least get the puck behind the net there. Instead he tried a pass that had been taken away, and the puck is sent out for an odd man rush the other way.

Chimera just dropped a very clear F-bomb

It's his own fault. Don't be an idiot or you'll be caught. Maybe he'll go if challenged next time.

Disagree with results all you want. I care about the team doing well, no matter how it's done. If it's Wilson, great. If all of a sudden it's Smithson and McGrattan scoring ... just as damn good.

Forward scoring of late
Dec 17 '11 Erat with our only ES goal
Dec 15 '11Legwand and Tootoo at ES
Dec 13 '11 Halischuk (Wilson PP)
Dec 10 '11 Spaling and Tootoo at ES
Dec 08 '11 Fisher, Hornqvist, and Wilson at ES
Dec 06 '11 No forwards scored
Dec 03 '11 Legwand ES
Dec 01 '11 Fisher and Toots (x2) at ES
Nov 29 '11 shutout
Nov 28 '11 Spaling ES
Nov 26 '11 no forwards scored
Nov 23 '11 Tootoo ES
Nov 22 '11 No ES goals from forwards, Tootoo with a PPG
Nov 19 '11 Spaling at ES
Nov 17 '11 Erat and Halischuk with ES goals
Nov 15 '11 Erat and Wilson with ES goals

Notice that the Wilson/Spaling/Tootoo line has gone two consecutive games without an ES goal since Nov 15th one time. It is effectively our top scoring line lately.

Your proposed line changes disassemble lines that are generating chances to put your fav player where you want him. Taking apart two lines to build one is counterproductive.
