I'm quite certain the euros don't.

Rinne does, Weber used to.

Forward scoring of late
Dec 17 '11 Erat with our only ES goal
Dec 15 '11Legwand and Tootoo at ES
Dec 13 '11 Halischuk (Wilson PP)
Dec 10 '11 Spaling and Tootoo at ES
Dec 08 '11 Fisher, Hornqvist, and Wilson at ES
Dec 06 '11 No forwards scored
Dec 03 '11 Legwand ES
Dec 01 '11 Fisher and Toots (x2) at ES
Nov 29 '11 shutout
Nov 28 '11 Spaling ES
Nov 26 '11 no forwards scored
Nov 23 '11 Tootoo ES
Nov 22 '11 No ES goals from forwards, Tootoo with a PPG
Nov 19 '11 Spaling at ES
Nov 17 '11 Erat and Halischuk with ES goals
Nov 15 '11 Erat and Wilson with ES goals

Notice that the Wilson/Spaling/Tootoo line has gone two consecutive games without an ES goal since Nov 15th one time. It is effectively our top scoring line lately.
stats like that make me wonder where our big name forwards are... Fisher, Erat, SK, Hornqvist, Legwand...

if these guys would elevate their play a bit, some more than a bit, i really feel that this team can be our best yet. however thats clearly dependent on guys like SK getting 50 points, Hornqvist netting 25-30 goals, and fisher, leggy, and erat chipping in with 60-ish points..

I was loving SK74 last year and I've been defending him and giving him every benefit of the doubt this year so far, but my patience is wearing thin with him. Where is his fire he was playing with last year. I mean he's not a physical guy but last year he was a damn good playmaker.

Again karma gods getting back at us for wins we really should not have had over the past few games. We have been outplayed the majority of the season but have been bailed out by the big three

Well you have to give the Caps PK some credit but yeah, our PP has looked very uninterested so far.

Sometimes I wonder how our team would play if Crispy was our coach. You can tell he is frustrated as well. Even he realizes they need to shoot the ****ing puck.

The Smith/Leggy/Erat has goals in the last two and 3 of the last 7. SK's disappearance this season is costing the Fisher line, yet he's chipped in a few ES goals in the past few games as well. Tonight the team is getting out worked, missing too many passes, and not taking the open shots. Yet this is the same team that beat the Wings and took it to the Flames. 20 minutes of hockey left for the boys to pull their heads out of their colons and play hard hockey.

Crisp coaching would not help this team. He has enough trouble trying to get the guys on the ice correct! Fun guy, but he has trouble focusing at times

We'd probably go 2-80 (ok, an exaggeration) with Crispy as the coach. He's an anachronism. His coaching frame of reference is two decades ago .. his playing frame of reference is 35+ years ago. Just like Cherry ... the game they misremember is far different than the game of today.

I was really worried the Caps scoring would ignite tonight against the Preds. Horrible first period. Better second, but time after time guys pass up the chance for a good play followed by a scramble at the net vs. holding/passing for the perfect play. Truly they have played with fire for several games and tonight they might not get the breaks they need to get back in the game. I'll hope for the best, it could still turn on a play or two. But the Preds gotta get more gritty and stop trying to be pretty.

It's pretty hard to say Hornqvist doesn't care. The same can be said for Erat really. It's easy to stay with the idea that European players care less than players from NA, but those two for sure are trying.

Trots made a line change. Switched Kostitsin and Erat.

Nine shot attempts through two for the Tootoo/Spaling/Wilson line ... five on goal.

I'm not sure that Leggy didn't tip that. For now I'll take having eleven players with 5+ goals.
