#1 - Lundqvist
#2 - Gaborik
#3 - Stepan

HM: Anisimov / Hagelin

Great game for all of the above mentioned players. Need to start giving Hagelin more ice time and Dubinsky less! Hagelin has hands, and a great release. I'd love to see him get top-6 minutes.

these are my 3 as well.

The good: Obviously the 3 guys above, hagelin, I thought Boyle was pretty good tonight. despite some mad scrambles, the D overall held up well, especially Bickel and Erixon. PK was great even without Dubi and Cally early

The bad: Some stupid penalties, inability to hit the net, still not generating many chances. Strahlman was pretty ordinary (yeah I know he shouldn't be playing top 4 mins). Dubinsky was better, but he needs to re-learn what to do in front of the net.

The redden: The 10 min on Cally (yeah I'm still mad), the chances created every time we lose a defensive zone faceoff, devils fans coming onto the Rangers board

Good: Lundqvists performance. The D doing a tad bit better then expected.
Bad: We still have a few weeks left of playing with this defense.
Redden: Dubinsky hitting a crossbar and passing up two opportunities to shoot. He isn't going to score if only shoots on 1 out of ever 3 opportunities.

Great third period.

Henrik was fantastic tonight and Gaborik is now only 3 behind his goal total last season

The Good: Lundqvist, The GAS Line, The defense, 2pts.
The Bad: Devils puck possession> Rangers puck possession
The Redden: I got stuck watching the Devils feed so I was laughing when the camera was showing Devils fans leaving when Hagelin scored, pathetic.
1st Star: Lundqvist
2nd Star: Stepan
3rd star: Gaborik

HM to Calle and Anisimov. They were both excellent.

EDIT: And Girardi, too. He's tough as nails. Love it.

1. Hank
2. Stepan
3. Girardi

Hank huge saves all night. Girardi was a BEAST with blocks and defensive zone coverage. Stepan great with the puck all night.

Honorable mention goes out to the Rangers fans at the Rock tonight. They were SO loud. Especially after that Hagelin goal. They ERUPTED. Also making a lot of noise at the end. Wish I was there.

This may be the hardest GBR this season. DelZotto played the most physical game I've ever seen him play.

Dubinsky would be on this list also if it wasn't for that excellent clear shorthanded in the third.

He needs to shoot and he will score. The rest of his game is good.

I cheated. Had to throw a vote to Stu, he played a very solid game.

1. Lundqvist
2. Gaborik
3. Anisimov

HM: Hagelin

Initially voted Hagelin (yeah, it still says it), but I changed my mind. Anisimov was phenomenal, and as Fitzy said, he recognized what he needed to do to get this team's offense going tonight, which was to throw pucks at the net from every angle.

Also, 2k2 was right again about our fill in defenseman. Stop making the rest of us look like jump-the-gun jackasses Al.

Something that will bring a smile to everyone's face: Kovalchuk was a -3, which only he and Foster achieved.

BUT HE'S LEARNED TO BACKCHECK, BRAH!

This one's hard - first line was good and I'm falling more and more in love with Hagelin with each shift.

1. Hank
2. Stepan
3. Hagelin

HM: Ani, Gabby, Girardi, Dubi for effort

Broadway Hat - Hank - No hank and we lose this game by a few goals
Anisimov
Hagelin for 3 stars

Stepan played a great game as did MDZ, Girardi had a great 3rd period after a rough 1st and mediocre second. Loved the way Bickel and Erixon played, they work well together and were both very physical. Importantly they kept it simple!

All round good game after sleepwalking through the first period, Stralman did not look particularly good tonight. Maybe he is getting too much ice, but he looked very rushed tonight.

This team just needs to work on hitting the net consistently, other than that not many complaints tonight.

Henrik went to Chipotle before the game and took a big **** all over the Devils.

Did Dugay really just say "Hagelin went down on Brodeur"?

Seriously though, it's not an "I told ya so" thing. I'm wrong fairly frequently myself. I just want people to stop being so over the top with their criticisms. It's one thing to say, "Player X kinda sucks," but something entirely different to say "Player X is an embarrassment to his position and should be in the CHL." But at the end of the day it's a message board, and everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Lol, they keep getting better and better. Coming from a team that can barely play .500 hockey the Devils sure have high expectations.
