Bure has back surgery...

He's going to be out atleast 2 months. It is something that had to be done. Hopefully he comes back in a couple months and make some impact heading into the playoffs.

I head it on the radio.

Is it too early to start an official appreciation thread?

8 weeks isn't the end of the season. He'll probably be ready after the Olympic break. It's a real shame for him that he'll miss the chance to be a part of Team Russia.

Anyways, I wonder why they didn't do this earlier. When the epidural shots (their last non-surgical option) failed a month ago, you think they would've concluded it was better to go with surgery then. He could've been ready to go for the New Year. Oh well.

I have a whole new perspecitve on Val Bure now... And I found out that I'm "not a good person"... Guess where I'm not going? Please see the "test" to check if you are.

When did she become a missionary?

And why is Valeri wearing jeans in a pool?

and I just noticed that all 3 kids are wearing identical Izod shirts... Kind of an "Orange County meets Children of the Corn" thing going on... I *really* need for this Kings / Canes game to start to take my mind off this image...

We'll be fine without him, and he should provide an offensive boost when he comes back. We can have him grab Roenicks spot and send Jeremy down for conditioning.

My poor naive friend. It started the day that he married into the Full House dynasty.

When the hell did it ever start? Bure's era turned out to only be a tad better than the Quintal era!

Bure looked really good in Vegas. We never got to see Quintal play.

Bure did look pretty good during the preseason, although, for some reason, I was always waiting for the other injury shoe to drop and it did. I admit, I'm one of those glass half empty people when it comes to the Kings, I've been frustrated for too long. At least the Quintal era was interrupted by the lockout... Oh, what could have been

I was waiting for the headline: "Bure's back" ... but I thought it'd have a different meaning.
