Brodziak - player of the week!

Just saw a tiny little snippet in the Edmonton Journal (D4, Sports Digest at the bottom) that mentions this:

WHL: Moose Jaw Warriors centre Kyle Brodziak, 19, was named the player of the week. Brodziak, from Vegreville, was drated by the Edmonton Oilers in June.

Anyone have anything to add to this? Maybe some background on why he got chosen player of the week, perhaps??? (stupid Journal)

That is very impressive. I hope he keeps this up all year. we could use a 7th round steal

Thanks for that - no wonder he was player of the week! And he's 19 already, so he could definitely make the jump to Toronto next year, right? Hope he can keep up his strong play...good to hear.

Brodziak is looking great this season and could be a real steal as a late draft pick. Plus, he's exactly what the Oil have been looking for:

A big center (6'2 and 200lbs) and a local product (Born in Vegreville).

Take a look at his picture (if I've attached it correctly). The guy looks like a tough S.O.B. as well, which definitely can't hurt.

So far this season, he's posted some impressive statistics:
17GP, 14G, 13A, 27Pts

Too bad he's only 19, and will likely be a couple years away. It will be interesting to watch Brodziak develop, and to see if he can translate this success to the AHL level.

He also has 24 PM and at least 1 fight that was written about. I like this kid!

Is ubergay a word? I think it soon will be, that was just too corny to believe.

Honestly, was that a bit of fancy camerawork or were those people in the audience really at the "Yatta" concert?
