He was a multiple Dev Camp kid who's filled in for them at the AHL level in the past. Ok in a 3rd or 4th line capacity, can play a bit physical and would have some familiarity with a number of the Pirate hold-overs. They could do worse, right?
I don't think they're limiting themselves to Gwinnett. Rankin came from Toledo. Maybe they could start with the top scorer in the league, Chad Costello. Possibly Mike Radja, who has had some moderate success in the AHL before.
Wednesdays, Rochester Americans home game vs Lake Erie Monsters
will be LIVE on the Time Warner Cable Sportsnet family of channels -
Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse - not sure about Albany - 7:00 pm ET.
Another interesting angle to look for--any former NTDP'ers whom Rolston has a history with available in the ECHL? Granted, I can't imagine too many kids from that program flaming out to the extent they are playing in the ECHL (they're brought in to that program for a reason--usually because they're really good players, and I imagine many of them will still be in college), but just putting it out there.

There are actually already like five players from the NTDP that he'd be familiar with that are already in the ECHL, but none would be particularly useful as most are defensemen.
There's Mike Ratchuk though..
2 0 so far. I am watching. Voakes with the first and persson with the other both on the powerplay. The powerplay is looking good.
As much as I dislike the lack of moves by Buffalo, these guys work so hard. Total opposite of watching a Sabres game. I still don't expect them to win, but they give you an effort.

Now that I am home from school I am able to watch the Amerks more now but so far it seems Rolston is doing well with what's being given.

Must be refreshing to see a team that works like that.
