Kuba is and always was a very solid NHL D man. Resgining Kuba wouldn't be a bad thing at all.
Just wanted to add a little bit to your argument.

Should BM look at acquiring Bobby Ryan?

Yes but really we don't have the assets to move for him.

It shouldn't come as a suprise if we resign Kuba. Even more so now then 3 weeks ago like I had said.

He has played well and Murray will probably resign him...

I think the Sens will make a serious push for a guy like Parise in the offseason....just my gut feeling, we are going to need a top line winger to replace Alfredsson either after this season or next season and he fits the bill perfectly.

Obviously he's going to be coveted by numerous teams, but we have the cap space and he's still young enough to fit into our rebuild. Imagine a top nine of:

Michalek Spezza Parise - Speed, Finesse, Skill to burn
Silverburg Turris Alfredsson - Creativity, 2-way game, Skill to burn
Foligno Zibenajad Smith - Grit, Determination, Dirty goals galore ( I know all these guys are centers, but they would make line)

No way in hell do they re-sign him. He's 35 and soft as butter. He will be either moved at the deadline or they let him walk for nothing at the end of the year.

Parise is a left winger. Also if we picked up Parise (we won't) I think we would distribute the wealth.

Parise - Spezza - Alfredsson
Foligno - Turris - Michalek
Regin - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Daugavins - Smith - Neil

Nice looking lineup well you never know about Parise....Also I think Regin will be traded or packaged up with another player as part of a bigger trade.

Parise in a Sens uni would be sexy.

What about Condra and his stamina? Playing well right now, he should have a spot. What about Greening? What sort of value can we get for these guys if they are moved?

If Turris becomes a good second line center, let alone awesome, and we get Parise/Suter...Mark my words, we will be contenders.

Personally, I like this lineup better:

Parise - Spezza - Alfredsson
Greening - Turris - Michalek
Condra - Foligno - Silfverberg
Daugavins - Smith - Neil

Out:
Regin

Starts in AHL:
Zibenajad

The Sens picking up the two biggest UFAs would never happen but we can dream...

I would change it up a bit though.

Zach Parise - Jason Spezza - Milan Michalek
Nick Foligno - Kyle Turris - Daniel Alfredsson
Jakob Silfverberg - Mika Zibanejad - Eric Condra
Kaspars Daugavins - Zack Smith - Chris Neil

Ryan Suter - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - Sergei Gonchar
Chris Phillips - Matt Carkner
Brian Lee

Craig Anderson
Robin Lehner

That line up is young, fast, skilled, big... The official "rebuild" would be over and with continued solid drafting we would be in a position to plug holes as required.

EDIT: Needs more Silfverberg.
Craig Anderson
Robin Lehner

Winchester over Regin? Are you mad? Are you insane?

Also, Foligno's definitely not a RW.

Any Ideas? A top 6 winger would be good.
Spezza will be the next captain of the Sens and deservedly so.

Deal with it.

My avatar says I'm not, so I'll go with that.

'twas just spitballing an idea which will likely not happen, a guy can dream though right?

Alfredsson's 40 next year, i'd limit his role a little bit to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Zach Parise - Jason Spezza - Milan Michalek
Jakob Silfverberg - Kyle Turris - Mika Zibanejad
Colin Greening - Nick Foligno - Daniel Alfredsson
Kaspars Daugavins - Zack Smith - Chris Neil
Eric Condra or Peter Regin

Ryan Suter - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - Sergei Gonchar
Chris Phillips - Matt Carkner
Brian Lee

Craig Anderson
Robin Lehner

A pretty solid lineup too bad we're not getting both Parise and Suter (honestly if you add a Parise and Suter to any current NHL team i bet it looks pretty good)
