NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

It’s a pretty nice milestone. The most important thing is it helped us win. It was a hard game, a high-tempo game. Both are quick teams with a good pace.
Definitely, for the first meeting against those guys it was a huge win.
- Marian Gaborik

That’s what I love so much about division games, you don’t feel like there are any sleeps.
- Mike Rupp

It was a good, gritty win. It wasn't solid right on through. We didn't do everything right at certain times, but we stayed with it. So, I really liked the grit of the game.
- John Tortorella

LGR! We better win. I hate losing to bottom-feeding teams. Especially when that bottom-feeding team is the Islanders.

I'm glad we're at MSG for this one. Matching Girardi and McDonagh on Moulson-Tavares-Parenteau will be a huge advantage. I'm curious to see how Del Zotto and Stralman handle Grabner's speed, though.

Let's win this one. The Islanders are a team we need to jump out to a nice lead on and crush their confidence.

Let's get a nice Christmas present from the Rangers. 3-1 win, Gaborik, McDonagh, Dubinsky with the EN

Grabner's speed can be handled if the Rangers play well in the neutral zone

This is kind of a big game...can't keep winning two, losing two, winning two, etc. Need another good streak of wins here

Wonder who is in goal for the Isles.. roll a dice and out comes an AHL goalie.

How much longer do you think Tavares' back will hold out? Must be tough hauling 400 pounds of crap around the ice every game.

It should be Nabokov. Nilsson looked a little overwhelmed in his last call up.

If we can stop making the other team's goalie look awesome we should bag this one..

Just out of curiosity, what was the result of the first game you went to this season?

Anyone worried that Richards might be injured? His skating has been sluggish over the past few games....
